Prince scores just four pointsThursday 11/20, 9:57 PM CT
Tayshaun Prince only scored four points for the Pistons in their 98-80 loss to the Celtics on Thursday. He also pulled down seven rebounds.

Our View: Prince was just 2-of-9 from the field as he did not attempt either a three-point shot or a free throw. This has been two below-average performances in a row by Prince, as he scored only 10 points his last game out.
Pierce has slow nightThursday 11/20, 9:54 PM CT
Celtics forward Paul Pierce made just two of the nine shots he took while scoring nine points, grabbing four rebounds and dishing three assists in the team's 98-80 win over Detroit.

Our View: Pierce has been having an excellent season, so fantasy owners should simply chalk this performance up to a difficult evening.
Iverson strugglesThursday 11/20, 9:52 PM CT
Allen Iverson had a difficult night shooting the ball, making just 5-of-13 shots and scoring 16 points as the Pistons were beaten by the Celtics, 98-80.

Our View: Iverson had his knee drained on Tuesday, as he was dealing with soreness. He played a team-high 35 minutes, so it doesn't seem like he was bothered by it.
Rondo has a solid gameThursday 11/20, 9:50 PM CT
Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo had a solid game on Thursday, scoring 18 points, dishing eight assists and coming up with three steals in the team's 98-80 win over Detroit.

Our View: Rondo scored 10 points more than his average, so it was a good night for him in that department. He shot a solid 7-for-11 on the night.
Suns win when Shaq restsThursday 11/20, 9:15 PM CT
The Phoenix Suns have won three games and have not suffered a loss when Shaquille O'Neal gets at least two days of rest between games, according to the Orange County Register.

Our View: O'Neal has played 11 games so far this year, and has averaged a respectable 15.1 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game, making him a usable - though no longer elite - center in fantasy leagues.

Rockets center Yao Ming will suit up on Friday for the team in their game against the Wizards, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Our View: Ming was forced to miss Wednesday's game with a sore left foot but he has been cleared.
Jones to arrive next weekThursday 11/20, 5:52 PM CT
Big man Dwayne Jones will join the Charlotte Bobcats sometime next week as he comes back from playing overseas in Turkey, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Our View: Jones can play power forward or center. He'll likely not have any fantasy value, but he should provide solid defense and rebounding for the Bobcats off the bench.
Augustin may startThursday 11/20, 5:49 PM CT
Rookie point guard D.J. Augustin may get the start for Charlotte on Friday along with Alexis Ajinca, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Our View: Raymond Felton would not be replaced by Augustin, instead, Matt Carroll would be replaced, as would Sean May. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on Augustin, as he had a nice game Wednesday with 21 points and four assists.
X-rays negative on HowardThursday 11/20, 5:42 PM CT
Josh Howard had X-rays on his ankle and they did not show any structural damage, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View: Howard's ankle is swollen but is otherwise no worse for the wear. He has been playing very well, with averages of 20.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists.
Arenas would't mind last placeThursday 11/20, 5:01 PM CT
Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas doesn't seem to have much confidence in his teammates as he recovers from knee surgery, and he doesn't think failure would be such a bad thing this year, according to the AP. "If this is one of those years where we don't make the playoffs or we finish in last place ... that's what happened to San Antonio and that's how they got Tim Duncan and look at them now," Arenas said.

Our View: His reasoning isn't irrational, but in the future he may want to keep thoughts like that to himself with some NBA teams having a reputation for tanking at the end of their seasons to get a chance for a higher pick in the draft.

Michael Redd did not return to the court Wednesday against Utah due to his sprained right ankle but was able to participate in the shootaround, according to the Associated Press.

Rashad McCants suffered back spasms during Wednesday's outing against the Sixers, according to the Star Tribune.

Our View: McCants is a backup guard, but has been productive while averaging 10.1 points on 18.2 minutes per game. The severity of his ailment is yet to be determined.
Foye returns to starting lineup Thursday 11/20, 9:39 AM CT
Randy Foye returned to the starting lineup Wednesday against the Sixers for the first time since the fourth game of the season, according to the Star Tribune.

Our View: He replaced Sebastian Telfair. Foye was awarded the start, but did not help his bid for more, as he only scored 10 points over 35 minutes, with two turnovers.
Battier still sore Thursday 11/20, 8:39 AM CT
Shane Battier's ailing left foot was still sore after Wednesday's practice, according to the Houston Chronicle. He said, "It was sore. It was normal soreness from the first real action in a while. Thankfully, I don’t think I have soreness in the place it was injured initially. I’m going to see if the places I have soreness is a possibility."

Our View: It is uncertain if he will be ready to make his 2008 debut during the upcoming three-game road trip.
Ellis has screws removed Thursday 11/20, 7:13 AM CT
Monta Ellis had the screws in his surgically-repaired left ankle removed Wednesday in Birmingham, Alabama, according to the SF Chronicle.

Our View: He is expected to rejoin the Warriors after next week's East Coast road-trip. Keep the talented guard stashed on fantasy rosters, and scoop him up if dangling on the waiver wire while injured.

Al Harrington will miss the Warriors' entire five-game road trip due to his strained lower back, according to the SF Chronicle.

Oden strong even in limited actionThursday 11/20, 12:17 AM CT
Greg Oden only played 17 minutes on Wednesday, but still managed a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. He also had three blocks.

Our View: Oden will continue to put up big numbers with increased minutes. He sat most of the night since the Blazers were routing the Bulls.
Roy gets to 20 againThursday 11/20, 12:15 AM CT
Brandon Roy scored 20+ for the seventh straight game on Wednesday night, finishing with an even 20. He also had five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Our View: Roy only played 28 minutes since victory was well in hand by halftime and the outcome was certain once the third quarter was over.
Rose struggles against BlazersThursday 11/20, 12:11 AM CT
Derrick Rose had perhaps his worst game of his young carer on Wednesday, only scoring six points to go with one assists and one steal.

Our View: Rose only played 27 minutes due to the game getting out of hand early.
Nocioni solid off of bench, most Bulls struggleThursday 11/20, 12:07 AM CT
Andres Nocioni came off the bench to lead the Bulls in scoring with 13 points as the Bulls got blown out 116-74. He also had four boards and one assist.

Our View: Nocioni doesn't have a lot of fantasy value, so it's a bad sign when he leads Chicago in points.
