Brand on torrid paceThursday 11/13, 11:44 PM CT
Elton Brand has been on fire for the Sixers in his debut season with the club, only being held to a single digit point total once in eight games so far this season.

Our View: Brand is averaging a double-double in points and rebounds this year, and should be in your lineup every night.
Howard has strong game for MavsThursday 11/13, 10:24 PM CT
Josh Howard had a double-double for Dallas on Thursday, scoring 21 points to go with 11 rebounds.

Our View: Howard's fantasy stock is remaining consistent as he contributes points and rebounds for fantasy owners nearly every night.
Dampier has big night in loss for DallasThursday 11/13, 10:19 PM CT
Erick Dampier hit the boards hard on Thursday, coming down with 18 rebounds for the Mavs in a 98-91 loss in Chicago. He also scored 16 points, had three blocks, an assist, and a steal in just 30 minutes of playing time.

Our View: If Dampier continues to play like this, his playing time will have to increase. Dallas is off to a rough start and they need guys in there that can change the game for them like Dampier is currently.
Noah has little impact for BullsThursday 11/13, 10:14 PM CT
Joakim Noah started for the Bulls on Thursday night, but only played 4 minutes. He was 0-for-1 from the field, while committing two fouls.

Our View: Noah's fantasy stock continues to slide, as he isn't performing enough to earn playing time for the Bulls. You can probably find better options on the waiver wire.
Gordon leads Bulls to win by scoring 35Thursday 11/13, 10:10 PM CT
Ben Gordon had a huge night for the Bulls on Thursday, scoring 35 points. He also had a pair of rebounds and four assists.

Our View: With both Larry Hughes and Kirk Hinrich injured, Gordon stepped up in a big way for the Bulls. His fantasy stock will be on the rise if he can make outbursts like this a more frequent occurrence.
Billups leads Denver in scoringThursday 11/13, 9:51 PM CT
Chauncey Billups led Denver in scoring on Thursday with 26 points. He also contributed six assists, a rebound, and a steal for Denver.

Our View: Billups is averaging 18.25 points in his four games with the Nuggets since coming over from the Pistons in a trade, which is a bit higher than the 12.5 point he averaged to start the season in two games with Detroit.
Martin has double-double for DenverThursday 11/13, 9:46 PM CT
Kenyon Martin posted a double-double on Thursday night after being a game-time decision for the Nuggets. Martin had 12 points, 10 rebounds, and two steals in a losing effort at Cleveland.

Our View: Martin will be a good source for points and rebounds if he can stay healthy the rest of the way for Denver.
Williams leads Cavs in scoring on ThursdayThursday 11/13, 9:44 PM CT
Mo Williams led the Cavs in points on Thursday night with 24. He also contributed six assists, a block, and a steal.

Our View: Williams has been a consistent source of points and assists for fantasy owners this year, and is likely to continue on his current pace.
James has another good night for CavsThursday 11/13, 9:40 PM CT
LeBron James had a typical night for him on Thursday, scoring 22 points to go with 11 assists, eight rebounds, and three assists.

Our View: James has been worthy of the high fantasy pick all year, as he's averaged around 30 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists this season.
Oden to play around 20 minutes on FridayThursday 11/13, 8:24 PM CT
Greg Oden will play between 20 and 22 minutes on Friday against New Orleans, according to the Oregonian.

Our View: Oden played 16 minutes off of the bench on Wednesday, and the Blazers will probably take it slow with him to make sure he isn't slowed by the ankle injury.
Granger should return on FridayThursday 11/13, 7:14 PM CT
Danny Granger should return to the Pacers' lineup on Friday, according to the Indianapolis Star.

Our View: Granger's fantasy value has been through the roof so far this season, and it should continue once he returns. Brandon Rush should get more playing time until Granger can return.
Brown to start for PistonsThursday 11/13, 6:30 PM CT
Kwame Brown will be in the Pistons' starting lineup on Thursday, according to the Detroit News.

Our View: Brown doesn't have much fantasy value at this point, but he may have some if his playing time continues to increase.
Maggette should play on ThursdayThursday 11/13, 6:26 PM CT
Corey Maggette says he'll play on Thursday, according to the San Francisco Examiner.

Our View: Maggette may be a bit of a risk for fantasy owners tonight, as it's uncertain how many minutes his strained hamstring will allow him to play.
Ellis looks good in rehab workoutsThursday 11/13, 4:19 PM CT
Monta Ellis's rehab is going well, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Our View: Ellis should be able to start resuming basketball activities in two weeks. His return date is still uncertain, but he should have a lot of fantasy value once he's able to play in games again.
Daniels unlikely to playThursday 11/13, 2:17 PM CT
Antonio Daniels is probably not going to play in the Wizards game on Friday due to lingering knee soreness, according to the Washington Post.

Our View: Daniels played just 13 minutes in Wednesday's game for Washington. For the year, Daniels is averaging just 4.6 points per game in 22.0 minutes, so his fantasy worthiness is not much of an issue. Juan Dixon would take Daniels' place in the starting lineup.
Martin could be out againThursday 11/13, 1:44 PM CT
Nuggets forward Kenyon Martin may miss the team's game against Cleveland on Thursday, as he will be a game-time decision, according to the Denver Post.

Our View: Martin has a sprained wrist, and has missed the team's last two games. He has been solid but unspectacular for fantasy owners this year, with averages of 13.6 points, 7.6 boards, 2.2 steals and 1.2 blocks per game. Linas Kleiza would make the start in Martin's absence.
Maggette may not playThursday 11/13, 12:14 PM CT
Corey Maggette may not play on Thursday due to his strained left hamstring, according to the Contra Costa Times.

Our View: Maggette has missed four consecutive games, but when he returns, he will be a solid fantasy option, as he's put up 18.5 points, 6.8 boards, 2.0 assists and 1.8 steals.
Calderon leaves gameThursday 11/13, 11:18 AM CT
Raptors guard Jose Calderon had to leave the team's game on Wednesday night in the third quarter with a tight hamstring, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View: Calderon managed just four points before leaving. There is no word yet on his status for upcoming games.
Dalembert strugglingThursday 11/13, 11:16 AM CT
76ers center Samuel Dalembert has had an up and down season, and cannot seem to find any consistency, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. "Personally, I have to do more than usual. I have to find ways of contributing offensively," he said.

Our View: Dalembert had a double-double a week ago, but then has games like Wednesday's when he managed a different kind of double-double: two points and two rebounds. He is averaging just 6.8 points, but does collect nearly 10 boards per game.
Bulls will sign HunterThursday 11/13, 10:53 AM CT
The Chicago Bulls are going to sign free agent guard Lindsey Hunter on Wednesday, according to the Detroit Free-Press.

Our View: Hunter is 37 years old, but the Bulls need a veteran in the backcourt because Kirk Hinrich will be out for a number of months with a thumb injury, and rookie Derrick Rose has been logging a lot of minutes and has been having back spasms.
Ginobili travels with teamThursday 11/13, 10:34 AM CT
Spurs guard Manu Ginobili could be back with the team sooner than the mid-December date which is expected, according to ESPN.com. He is traveling with the team and walking without a limp.

Our View: Ginobili had surgery to fix his left ankle in September, and though he still has a ways to go before he gets in game shape, it is not out of the question that he makes his return earlier than thought.
Bell enduring cold streakThursday 11/13, 10:01 AM CT
Raja Bell was shutout by the Houston Rockets on Wednesday as the Suns fell at home. He missed all of his six shots and managed just three rebounds and one assist in his stat line.

Our View: The shooting guard has not scored more than ten points in five consecutive games and has no steals and just three assists in his last four.
Concern growing over ConleyThursday 11/13, 9:57 AM CT
The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports that There is growing concern with Mike Conley, who was 1-for-5 shooting with two assists, two turnovers and made negligible impact through three quarters in Wednesday's loss to the Knicks. "He's got to play harder," coach Marc Iavaroni said. "When he plays hard he's a good player. When he doesn't, he's below average." Conley acknowledged that he's not playing with confidence.

Our View: Conley is averaging just one more minute per game than his backup, Kyle Lowry, and he has not been much more productive. Those who were expecting Conley to turn the corner this season may have to wait a little longer. There are likely point guards on the waiver wire who are producing better than he is throughout the early going.
Stuckey will return on FridayThursday 11/13, 9:50 AM CT
The Detroit Free Press has confirmed that Rodney Stuckey will play on Friday against the Lakers. However, he is expected to miss Thursday's game against the Warriors.

Our View: He is recovering from a sudden dizzy spell that he described as scary. Going forward, he could see more minutes as the team's starting lineup lacks a true point guard following the trade of Chauncey Billups.
Kirilenko is day to dayThursday 11/13, 9:41 AM CT
Andrei Kirilenko sprained his right index finger against Washington and now is listed as day to day, according to the AP.

Our View: AK47 has done an excellent job adapting to his new role coming off of the bench this season. He has been able to re-emerge as an across the board contributor.
Swelling goes down in Smith's ankleThursday 11/13, 8:48 AM CT
The sprained ankle that Josh Smith is suffering from has gotten better, and the swelling has gone down recently, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Our View: The initial prognosis was that Smith would miss somewhere from two weeks to a month, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that he could be back a little sooner.
Nets reaching out to fansThursday 11/13, 8:45 AM CT
The New Jersey Nets are giving away free tickets to unemployed fans who submit their resumes to the team, according to the AP. The team will then forward those resumes to their corporate sponsors and businesses that own season tickets.

Our View: This is certainly a unique and admirable way to involve the fan base, and certainly more rewarding than giving out bobble-heads or seat cushions.
Thomas activatedThursday 11/13, 8:06 AM CT
Tim Thomas was activated by the Clippers before the team's game on Wednesday, and he came off the bench to score 12 points in the team's loss to Sacramento, according to the L.A. Times.

Our View: Thomas had been dealing with a sprained ankle and had been out for a week. He is a decent option as a reserve for fantasy owners, but likely won't be more than that.
Jackson says Kobe doing too muchThursday 11/13, 8:02 AM CT
Despite hitting a big shot in the Lakers' 93-86 win over New Orleans Wednesday, coach Phil Jackson was not thrilled with the play of Kobe Bryant in the fourth quarter, according to the L.A. Times. "He was doing too much at the end of the ball game. We should have had him off ball a few times so it wasn't always him on ball," said Jackson.

Our View: Bryant scored 20 points in the game, which included a three-pointer with about a minute left. No matter what Jackson says, Kobe is likely going to be the guy with the ball in his hands at the end of the game, which is just fine with fantasy owners.
Amare held to 11 points in lossThursday 11/13, 12:55 AM CT
Amare Stoudemire scored just 11 points in 36 minutes as the Suns lost at home to the Rockets on Wednesday. He shot just 5-of-13 and pulled down nine rebounds in the loss.

Our View: Amare has produced below expectations in the games that teammate Shaquille O'Neal has excelled.
Nash's struggles continueThursday 11/13, 12:53 AM CT
Steve Nash continued his early-season struggles on Wednesday as the Suns fell at home 82-94 to the Rockets. He scored 10 points and had only three assists in the loss.

Our View: Nash was also involved in a third quarter scuffle and could see a suspension come his way. The two-time MVP is clearly struggling as he tries to adapt to a new coaching style that was partly responsible for the Suns failing to score a single fast break point on Wednesday.
Artest held to four points in winThursday 11/13, 12:50 AM CT
Ron Artest shot just 1-of-12 from the field on Wednesday as the Rockets defeated the Suns. He managed to contribute seven rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Our View: Artest has been held to less than 10 points in three of his past four games. We can assume that he is just still trying to get acquainted with his new team, but his inconsistent production has to be a concern.
Ming has good game against ShaqThursday 11/13, 12:47 AM CT
Yao Ming had 17 points, 15 rebounds and two blocks in his matchup against Shaquille O'Neal and the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday.

Our View: Ming remains one of the most consistent centers in the game when he is healthy. However, he has already undergone X-rays once this season (knee) and owners should be aware of his fragility.
Brooks steps up in Alston's absenceThursday 11/13, 12:40 AM CT
Aaron Brooks scored 19 points in 25 minutes as the Houston Rockets won in Phoenix 94-82 on Sunday. Rafer Alston was ejected in the third quarter and left coach Rick Adelman no other option than to play Brooks for the rest of the game. Brooks handled the duties exceptionally, but he did fail to get an assist.

Our View: The second year point guard has 39 points in his last two games and he should be a hot pickup once Alston receives his likely suspension. Also, Alston has not played well in the early going and Brooks is a legitimate candidate to win a starting job this season.
O'Neal passes legend in lossThursday 11/13, 12:36 AM CT
Shaquille O'Neal scored 18 points to move past John Havlicek into 10th on the NBA career scoring list, according to the AP. O'Neal also grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked four shots as the Suns fell at home to Houston 82-94 on Wednesday.

Our View: With 26,402 points, O'Neal needs 267 to pass Dominique Wilkins into ninth place and he could move as high as fifth place by the end of the season, if he stays healthy. When Shaq is rested, he has proven that he can still be a force this season. Owners need to be aware that coach Terry Porter does plan on giving him scheduled days of rest, especially in back-to-back games.
McGrady leads Rockets over SunsThursday 11/13, 12:26 AM CT
The AP reports that Tracy McGrady snapped out of a slump to score 22 of his 27 points in the second half Wednesday night, and the Houston Rockets beat the Phoenix Suns 94-82. T-Mac, 1-for-16 shooting in his previous two games, made 11 of 18 shots, going 9-of-14 in the second half.

Our View: McGrady was also involved in a scuffle during the third quarter and a possible suspension could be looming.
Disgruntled Davis strugglesThursday 11/13, 12:19 AM CT
Baron Davis shot just 4-of-15 to finish with 12 points as the Clippers fell to the visiting Kings 98-103 on Wednesday. He shot 0-for-4 from three-point range and had no steals, but was able to pick up 11 assists.

Our View: Davis has recently expressed his displeasure with coach Mike Dunleavy's rigid offense. Davis has been known to bailout on past teams and coaches. This situation could get ugly.
Thornton scores 20 in lossThursday 11/13, 12:15 AM CT
Al Thornton scored 20 points, hit two three-pointers and blocked three shots, but it wasn't enough to get the Clippers a win against the visiting Kings.

Our View: Thornton has been a bit inconsistent this season, but you can expect him to pull his weight on the offensive end.
Kings rookie gets double-double in winThursday 11/13, 12:13 AM CT
Jason Thompson was in the starting lineup again on Wednesday and helped the Kings defeat the Clippers 103-98. The rookie had 16 points and 11 rebounds in the win.

Our View: Thompson is looking like a legitimate fantasy contributor for the remainder of the season. He has been one of many impressive rookies to start the season.
Miller misses out on triple-doubleThursday 11/13, 12:10 AM CT
Brad Miller nearly missed a triple-double on Wednesday as the Kings beat the Clippers 103-98. He finished with 16 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists.

Our View: Miller is having a nice season following his five game suspension that caused him to miss the first games. His backup, Spencer Hawes, is still playing a lot of minutes, but the two players have been able to play at the same time.
Udrih scores 30 in winThursday 11/13, 12:04 AM CT
Beno Udrih erupted out of an early season slump on Wednesday as the Kings defeated the Clippers in L.A. 103-98. He poured in 30 points to go with seven assists, four rebounds and two steals.

Our View: Udrih entered the game with a 9.5 scoring average. His average at the end of the season figures to be much closer to 9.5 than 30, but this performance shows that he is capable of bringing it up substantially. Also, this could just be a sign of things to come as the Clippers' Baron Davis is openly disgruntled and is capable of mailing it in the rest of the season.
Magloire working his way backThursday 11/13, 12:00 AM CT
The AP reports that center Jamaal Magloire had his first on-court workout Wednesday since breaking his left hand last month. He's still barred from contact, but has dropped his weight to 250 (from 267) and his body fat to 9.1 percent (from 13). Magloire thinks he could play "in the next two weeks," but doctors believe it'll take a little longer.

Our View: The Heat desperately need a big man right now, as Mark Blount is also injured. Don't rush to pick up Magloire though. He has been an ineffective fantasy player for the past few years.
