Bryant paces scoring attackSunday 11/9, 11:06 PM CT
Kobe Bryant led the Lakers in scoring with 23 points as they handed a beat down to the Rockets in their 111-82 victory over the 4-3 Rockets. Jordan Farmer added 16 points while Andrew Bynum contributed 13 points and seven rebounds.

Our View: The Lakers entered halftime leading by just two, 50 to 48, before outscoring the Rockets by 27 points in the second half. Bryant hit 10 of 17 shots on the night while adding three boards, three assists, two steals and two blocked shots.
Rockets torched by LakersSunday 11/9, 11:03 PM CT
Aaron Brooks led the Rockets in scoring with 20 points as the Rockets lost to the Lakers by 29 points in a humiliating 111-82 defeat on Sunday night. Yao Ming had 12 points and eight boards while Ron Artest scored just eight points in the blowout loss.

Our View: Brooks was about the only positive on the night as he made three 3-pointers, but his total of five turnovers somewhat mitigated his positive efforts though Brooks rebounded spectacularly from a scoreless effort in his last game.
McGrady downright awfulSunday 11/9, 11:00 PM CT
Tracy McGrady had one of his worst outings in recent memory as he hit just one of 11 shots, a three pointer, as he finished with just three points in 33 minutes of action against the Lakers.

Our View: McGrady entered the night having averaged 21.1 points, 5.3 boards and 5.3 assists in 21 matchups with the Lakers, so it was utterly amazing to see him produce such a pathetic line on this night.
Gasol goes for 20 and 15Sunday 11/9, 10:57 PM CT
Pau Gasol produced a nice line on Sunday night as he scored 20 points on 7-for-10 shooting from the field and 6-for-6 from the line. Gasol also added 15 boards in the victory over the Rockets.

Our View: Talk about efficient. Gasol is averaging 14.6 points and 11.6 boards per game in the early going, numbers that compare very favorably to his production in 27 games with the Lakers last season (18.8 points, 7.8 boards).
Rookie has garbage time effortSunday 11/9, 10:52 PM CT
Anthony Randolph, seeing action in just his third NBA game, had his best effort to date with 11 points and seven rebounds in just 14 minutes of garbage time in the Kings 115-98 thrashing of the Warriors.

Our View: The club's first round selection, Randolph isn't a part of the regular rotation that the Warriors employ and therefore has zero fantasy value at the moment.
Jackson decent in lossSunday 11/9, 10:50 PM CT
Stephen Jackson scored 15 points while handing out six assists in the Warriors 115-98 loss at the hands of the Kings. In support of Jackson, Kelenna Azubuike scored 12 while C.J. Watson and Brendan Wright added 10.

Our View: Jackson will continue to be the focal point of the offense until Monta Ellis returns as the Warriors will try to make sure that they don't burn out their leader with an excessively heavy minutes played load (just 33 minutes on this night).
Miller has solid nightSunday 11/9, 10:47 PM CT
Brad Miller wasted little time in contributing to the Kings attack in just his second game back after serving a 5-game suspension as he scored 14 points, with 10 rebounds, six assists and two blocked shots.

Our View: Miller can be a fantasy stud filling up multiple categories from the center position, a trait not many others who play that position can claim they possess.
Biedrins racking up double-double'sSunday 11/9, 10:44 PM CT
Andris Biedrins scored 16 points, grabbed 18 rebounds, handed out four assists, stole two balls and blocked two shots for the Warriors.

Our View: Biedrins has gone for at least 12 points and 11 rebounds in each of his seven games on the young season. He may be terrible at the free throw line at 53.0% for his career, but he never shoots from more than 10 feet which has led to a superb 61.2% mark from the field in his career.
Gay all over the courtSunday 11/9, 10:36 PM CT
Rudy Gay contributed across the board with 16 points, seven rebound, four assists, three steals and two blocked shots on Sunday night. The only negatives were his 4-for-17 shooting and six turnovers.

Our View: Gay, the Grizzlies best player, certainly cannot afford to commit so many turnovers as the offense continual ends up running the ball through his hands. Look for him to tighten things up and for his numbers to improve as the season wears on.
Mayo racks up 31Sunday 11/9, 10:33 PM CT
O.J. Mayo scored a career best 31 points hitting 11-of-21 shots, including four of five on 3-pointers, as the Grizzlies fell to the Nuggets 100-90. Mayo also added eight boards and three assists in the effort.

Our View: Mayo is averaging 19.3 points a game through seven appearances as he is proving that his game is at the level where he can contribute on the offensive end as a rookie. Don't expect him to suddenly forget how to score - the kid is legit.
Billups fills up stat sheetSunday 11/9, 10:29 PM CT
Chauncey Billups hit only two of 13 shots, but he he was 10-for-11 from the free throw line on his way to a strong fantasy performance that included 16 points, six rebounds, 10 assists and three steals against Memphis.

Our View: Billups produced just the type of effort that the Nuggets envisioned when they brought him into the fold. He is currently struggling with his shot shooting about 30%, but once he locks in the jumper he will be a great bet to offer consistently excellent production from the point.
Nene controls middleSunday 11/9, 10:26 PM CT
Nene Hilario hit on eight of 10 shots as he scored 18 points while contributing 12 rebounds in the Nuggets 100-90 victory over the Grizzlies. Linas Kleiza added 12 points and nine boards in the win.

Our View: Nene has started out extremely strong for the Nuggets who will need him to continue to produce on the offensive end of the court with Allen Iverson now playing with the Pistons.
Martin injures left ankleSunday 11/9, 10:22 PM CT
Kevin Martin was forced to leave the Kings game with the Warriors on Sunday night because of a left ankle injury, according to the Associated Press. Before leaving, he scored 27 points in 28 minutes of action

Our View: The Kings can ill afford to be without their leading point producer, but considering that this is reoccurrence of an existing ankle injury, it seems reasonable to assume that Martin could be forced to the sidelines for a while.
Prince scores 23 pointsSunday 11/9, 9:29 PM CT
Tayshaun Prince scored 23 points for the Pistons on Sunday night as he hit nine of 16 shots, including 2-of-2 on three's, in the Pistons loss to the Celtics. Prince also added eight rebounds in the defeat.

Our View: Prince continues to be one of those players who doesn't excel in any one category but contributes in virtually all of them. A quiet, unassuming fantasy weapon indeed.
Watson has solid outingSunday 11/9, 8:49 PM CT
Earl Watson scored 11 points on Sunday night while dishing out six assists and pulling down four boards in the Thunders' loss to the Hawks 89-85.

Our View: Watson may be physically unimposing, but he does plenty of the little things to add value to a basketball squad. Watson entered the game shooting barely 30%, so tonight's 5-for-11 mark looks especially good.
Williams scores 14 with seven boardsSunday 11/9, 8:46 PM CT
Marvin Williams scored 16 points in the Hawks 89-85 victory over Oklahoma City on Sunday night. Flip Murray added 14 points with Mike Bibby contributing 13 in the win.

Our View: Williams entered the night scoring just nine points a game, well off his mark of 14.8 in 2007, so perhaps tonight's effort will jump start his scoring totals.
Durant scores 20 in lossSunday 11/9, 8:42 PM CT
Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 20 points produced on a 9-for-21 effort from the field and two free throws. Durant also added four boards and three assists, but the six turnovers he was saddled with certainly were far from ideal.

Our View: Durant can certainly fill up the basket, but at this point of his career he is a pretty empty scorer who rarely contributes anything more than an average performance in the other fantasy categories.
Johnson never met shot he didn't likeSunday 11/9, 8:39 PM CT
Joe Johnson scored a game-high 25 points while hitting just nine of 25 shots in the Hawks 89-85 victory over the Thunder.

Our View: Johnson is a true scoring star having averaged more than 20 points a game the past three years, but after entering this nights contest shooting 55.4% in four games, he will certainly be disappointed by his lackluster effort.
Wallace far from sharpSunday 11/9, 8:16 PM CT
Rasheed Wallace scored 10 points while hauling in 11 boards, though he hit just four of 17 shots in a poor offensive performance.

Our View: Wallace is a perfectly suitable option at center in fantasy leagues with the potential to pull a double-double off almost every time he hits the court. However he occasionally lays a stinker like this one when his shot eludes him which is just the price you pay to own his services.
Garnett has poor showingSunday 11/9, 8:14 PM CT
Kevin Garnett had an awful game on Sunday night as he hit just four of 15 shots on his way to eight points, 12 rebounds and four turnovers for the Celtics.

Our View: This was the first time in seven games that Garnett failed to score at least 11 points, though it was his sixth game in a row of at least eight boards. Few are steadier than Garnett, so expect a bounce back effort next time the Celtics hit the court.
Allen has big effort off benchSunday 11/9, 8:11 PM CT
Tony Allen led the Celtics in scoring with 23 points in less than 28 minutes of action of the bench in the Celtics 88-76 victory over the Pistons.

Our View: Allen entered the night scoring 9.3 points, this after a season of 6.6 points per game last season, so don't expect the former Oklahoma State star to have too many 20 point efforts this season.
Iverson loses in home debutSunday 11/9, 8:09 PM CT
Allen Iverson wasn't able to bring the hometown Pistons a victory as he and his mates fell to the Celtics by the score of 88-76 on Sunday night. Iverson was virtually invisible all night with all of 10 points, four rebounds and four assists as he also turned the ball over four times.

Our View: Efforts like this one are certainly few and far between for the scoring star, so chalk this effort up to being just one of those nights and look for AI to bounce back aggressively in the Pistons next game against Sacramento on Tuesday.
Wilcox sprains kneeSunday 11/9, 7:30 PM CT
Chris Wilcox was injured on Sunday night when he sprained his right knee in the first quarter of action against the Atlanta Hawks, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Wilcox lay on the court for a few moments after sustaining the injury before he slowly walked to the locker room. There is no word yet on how much time he will miss.
Stuckey leaves with dizzinessSunday 11/9, 7:27 PM CT
Rodney Stuckey was forced to leave the Pistons game on Sunday night due to feeling lightheaded and dizzy, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Early reports say that Stuckey is just fine and there is no real danger to his health. We will await a more detailed explanation of what happened before attempting to analyze his immediate fantasy value.
Camby totals 14 reboundsSunday 11/9, 5:50 PM CT
Marcus Camby hit four of eight shots on his way to nine points, but he also chipped in 14 boards for the Clippers. At the opposite end of the spectrum, Al Thornton scored 17 points while puling down just one board.

Our View: Camby, playing just his fourth game of the year, is averaging 10.8 boards per game and 2.5 blocks per contest in his first season with the Clippers. He should continue to post similar numbers over the course of the season.
Davis leads Clippers victorySunday 11/9, 5:46 PM CT
Baron Davis led the Clippers 103-92 victory over the Mavericks with 22 points and 10 assists. Davis also had four rebounds though he was just 3-for-9 on 3-pointers.

Our View: This effort was a second straight 20 point outing after Davis averaged just 9.6 points over his first five games. As long as he is healthy he will produce big numbers, but there is no certainty whatsoever that he will be able to stay healthy long enough to justify his draft day cost.
Terry struggles with shotSunday 11/9, 5:42 PM CT
Jason Terry had a tough outing on Sunday as he scored only eight points thanks to a terrible effort from the field (3-for-15).

Our View: Terry had scored 49 points in his last two outings, so today's effort was clearly disappointing. The Mavs clearly need Terry's offense, so don't look for him to stop shooting merely because he is struggling to put the ball in the basket.
Novitzki scores, Mavs loseSunday 11/9, 5:37 PM CT
Dirk Nowitzki scored 33 points, pulled down seven boards, and handed out three assists in the Mavericks 103-92 loss to the Clippers.

Our View: Dirk hit only 1-of-7 3-pointers on the afternoon, but he was the clubs only source of offense on the day as no other player had more than 13 points.
Randolph impressive against JazzSunday 11/9, 5:34 PM CT
Zach Randolph had a big outing on Sunday with 25 points and 14 rebounds in the Knicks victory over the Jazz. Randolph actually hit two 3-pointers in the game, though he also turned the ball over five times.

Our View: Randolph's name continues to be brought up in trade rumors, and while his defense is often sub par, the man can put up the numbers as he has been a double-double performer through six games.
AK47 has 18Sunday 11/9, 5:26 PM CT
Andrei Kirilenko came off the bench to score 18 points with two boards, two assists and two blocked shots in the Jazz's 107-99 loss to the Knicks.

Our View: Kirilenko's game has leveled off the past two seasons though he still contributes across the board in most games. He isn't a difference maker, but he can certainly be a major piece of a championship squad.
Booser has 19 and 17Sunday 11/9, 5:23 PM CT
Carlos Boozer hit seven of 11 shots on Sunday on his way to scoring 19 points. He also hauled in 17 rebounds while producing three assists and three steals.

Our View: Boozer is a double-double machine who on a nightly basis continues to go out an post mind numbingly consistent numbers. There aren't many safer bets in the fantasy game.
Curry has corisone shot for kneeSunday 11/9, 5:21 PM CT
Eddy Curry, who has failed to see game action this season, had a cortisone shot on Friday for his injured knee, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Curry has already had the knee drained twice, and while reports are that there is no structural damage, it is clear that he is still a ways away from being able to flash his talents on the court.
Crawford leads scorersSunday 11/9, 5:18 PM CT
Jamal Crawford scored a game-high 32 points on Sunday in the Knicks' 107-99 defeat of the Jazz, Utah's first loss of the season after five victories.

Our View: Crawford was fairly efficient going 10-for-17 from the field while hitting 5-of-7 shots from downtown. Crawford has gone for 55 points in his last two games and has hit at least four 3-pointers in each of the Knicks past three games.
Howard out agaisnt ClippersSunday 11/9, 2:44 PM CT
Josh Howard will be out of Sunday's lineup with a wrist injury, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View: Keep a close eye on Howard, as his status could be uncertain for at least the rest of the week.
Okafor struggles against Raptors, fluSunday 11/9, 2:39 PM CT
Emeka Okafor was limited to just 26 minutes due to flu-like symptoms in Sunday's game against Toronto. He finished with seven points, six rebounds, and one block.

Our View: Okafor might not be fantasy worthy until he's 100 percent again.
Augustin contributes off of the benchSunday 11/9, 2:36 PM CT
D.J. Augustin had a nice bench performance for the Bobcats on Sunday, leading the team in points with 14 in just 24 minutes. He also had two boards and four assists.

Our View: Augustin doesn't have fantasy value right now due to his limited playing time. However, with the Bobcats struggling, the lineup could be in for a shuffle.
Bargnani helps Raptors to win with strong bench effortSunday 11/9, 2:31 PM CT
Andrea Bargnani had a nice game coming off the bench for the Raptors on Sunday. In just 27 minutes, he scored 18 points. He also chipped in with five rebounds, three blocks, a steal and an assist.

Our View: Bargnani doesn't get enough playing time to be a valuable fantasy player, but could see his minutes increase if he continues to play well.
Bosh scores 30 in Raptors winSunday 11/9, 2:28 PM CT
Chris Bosh had another great game for Toronto, leading them to a win with 30 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.

Our View: Bosh has been a force all season for the Raptors and is a top fantasy performer as well.
Harris could return MondaySunday 11/9, 10:11 AM CT
Devin Harris was in a walking boot on Saturday night, but still hopes to return Monday according to Nets Daily.

Our View: We'll keep you updated on Harris' status for Monday's game.
Hunter to have surgery, season and career both in jeopardySunday 11/9, 10:05 AM CT
Steven Hunter will have knee surgery in the upcoming week that could end his career, according to the Rocky Mountain News.

Our View: Hunter hasn't had any fantasy value this year, and isn't likely to with the extensive recovery needed from the surgery.
