Maggette out for Friday's gameThursday 11/6, 11:33 PM CT
Corey Maggette will miss Friday's game with his strained left hamstring, according to the Contra Costa Times.

Our View: Maggette is worth keeping on your roster, so just bench him until he's ready to return to action.
Turkoglu solid in Magic winThursday 11/6, 11:27 PM CT
Hedo Turkoglu had a solid night Thursday for the Magic, scoring 20 points along with eights rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block.

Our View: Turkoglu has gotten off to a very nice start for Orlando, and can be considered a consistent option for points, rebounds, and assists.
Lewis has nice night for MagicThursday 11/6, 11:22 PM CT
Rashard Lewis scored 20 points on Thursday for the Magic. Lewis also had eight rebounds, four assists, and a steal.

Our View: Lewis' pace slowed in the second half, when he scored just five, but fantasy owners should still be impressed with his nice start this season.
Iguodala has a big nightThursday 11/6, 11:18 PM CT
Andre Iguodala bounced back nicely on Thursday night, posting a double-double just a day after having his worst game of the season. Iguodala had 16 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists just missing a triple-double.

Our View: Iguodala had been relatively consistent in the early going for fantasy owners. You should look for more of the same, with him staying in your lineups.
Dalembert posts a double-doubleThursday 11/6, 11:12 PM CT
Samuel Dalembert posted a double-double for the Sixers Thursday night, with 10 points and 14 rebounds. He also had an assist and three blocks.

Our View: Dalembert continues to be a very productive fantasy player, averaging 10 boards per game with a tad over seven points as well.
Lewis has strong first halfThursday 11/6, 8:30 PM CT
Rashard Lewis has scored 15 points through the first half of Thursday's game. He's also recorded four rebounds and an assist.

Our View: Lewis' fantasy value continues to climb and he should be in your lineup for every game.
Barnes' return date uncertainThursday 11/6, 4:35 PM CT
Matt Barnes' status for this weekend is uncertain after his fiancée gave birth to twins three weeks early, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: Barnes is unowned in most leagues, but should be benched until further notice if you have him.
Foye's status in lineup uncertainThursday 11/6, 4:28 PM CT
Randy Foye may soon lose his starting spot to Sebastian Telfair, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Our View: If you have Foye, you might attempt to trade him before he loses even more fantasy value. He's not scoring nearly as much as he used to, shooting just 8-of-36 so far this season.
Kirilenko should play FridayThursday 11/6, 4:24 PM CT
Andrei Kirilenko is probable for Friday's game, according to the Deseret News. Kirilenko didn't practice on Thursday due to a headache resulting from an elbow to the face sustained in Wednesday's game.

Our View: If you have Kirilenko, you probably want him in your lineup for Friday as he has been very productive as of late.
Williams doubtful for FridayThursday 11/6, 4:20 PM CT
Deron Williams is doubtful for Friday's game, according to the Deseret News.

Our View: Williams originally was supposed to return on Wednesday, but now he may be out until next week. The safe move would be to bench him in your Friday lineup.
Karl chooses NBDL over EuropeThursday 11/6, 4:17 PM CT
Coby Karl has decided to join the Idaho Stampede of the NBDL rather than playing in Europe, according to the Orange County Register.

Our View: Karl, the son of Nuggets' coach George Karl, does not have any fantasy value and was waived by the Lakers on October 27th.
Billups has first practice with DenverThursday 11/6, 4:12 PM CT
Chauncey Billups had his first practice with the Nuggets on Thursday, according to the Rocky Mountain News. Billups will play Friday against Dallas, but may come off the bench instead of starting. Coach George Karl called the matter," a decision for tomorrow."

Our View: Billups should see plenty of minutes, regardless of if he's starting for the Nuggets. If Billups is on your roster, you should have him in your lineup for Friday.
Thomas practices Thursday 11/6, 3:21 PM CT
Etan Thomas, who is recovering from a sprained ankle, practiced Thursday and could return to action Friday against the Knicks, according to the Washington Post.

Our View: He is the Wizards' starting center, but is only averaging 7.5 points and five boards over two games. He should remain reserved in fantasy leagues until he proves himself worthy of consideration as a starter.
Oden out of action Thursday 11/6, 12:59 PM CT
Greg Oden will not play through Saturday due to his injured right foot, and he may miss the upcoming four-game road trip, according to The Oregonian.

Our View: He is still feeling pain, and looks to be out until mid-November. He did not score any points over 13 minutes in his lone outing of the season.
Battier close to practicing Thursday 11/6, 11:18 AM CT
Shane Battier, who is recovering from a sore left ankle, is close to returning to practice, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Our View: He is doing shooting drills and strengthening exercises, but has not yet been cleared by Dr. Tom Clanton and the rest of the medical staff. We will keep posted on his status.
Dunleavy's status remains unknown Thursday 11/6, 10:26 AM CT
Mike Dunleavy, who is dealing with an injured right knee, still isn't sure when he will be able to return to action, according to the Indianapolis Star. He said, "I don't know. I really don't know because this thing has a mind of its own. I'm going to have to ride it out and see."

Our View: Surgery is not being considered, but his ailment (tendinitis) is not settling down as much as the team would like. He shall remain stashed on fantasy rosters.
Rookie to miss 2-4 weeks Thursday 11/6, 10:21 AM CT
Chris Douglas-Roberts is expected to miss 2-4 weeks of action while recovering from a grade-1 sprain in his right knee, according to the Star-Ledger.

Our View: He won't be missed by fantasy owners while he is out, as he was only averaging 1.3 points and 1.7 assists over 11.7 minutes per game. Trenton Hassell, who is returning from a virus, looks to be the top candidate to replace him as a backup.
McDyess garnering interest Thursday 11/6, 9:22 AM CT
Antonio McDyess is garnering interest from 17 NBA clubs, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View: McDyess was traded from Detroit to Denver earlier in the week, but is expected to receive a contract buyout from the Nuggets. He is believed to have interest in rejoining the Pistons after a required 30-day waiting period, but could land elsewhere with the right offer.
Maggette misses game with strained hamstringThursday 11/6, 1:03 AM CT
The AP reports that Corey Maggette was held out of Wednesday's game against the Nuggets with a strained left hamstring.

Our View: Kelenna Azubuike played very well in his place. The severity of the injury is not yet known, but Maggette has a history of being a little bit injury prone.
Biedrins records fifth double-double through five gamesThursday 11/6, 1:00 AM CT
Andris Biedrins continued an impressive start to season with 12 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks as the Warriors defeated the Nuggets 111-101.

Our View: The 22-year-old is averaging 16.4 points, 13.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game, while shooting 70 percent through five games this season. However, he wil never be a good free throw shooter. He has hit just 12-of-24 attempts this season.
Harrington held to three points in winThursday 11/6, 12:56 AM CT
Al Harrington was held to just 16 minutes and three points in the Warriors win over the Nuggets on Wednesday. He was in foul trouble, but he largely sat due to the excellent play of Brandan Wright and the rest of the Warriors bench.

Our View: The game likely got under Harrington's skin. He has been requesting a trade from the Warriors for months and reportedly has never gotten along with coach Don Nelson. Fantasy owners should hope that something gets done soon.
Azubuike plays 44 minutes off of bench in winThursday 11/6, 12:53 AM CT
Kelenna Azubuike saw 44 minutes of action on Wednesday as the Warriors defeated the Nuggets 111-101 on Wednesday. He finished with 22 points, eight boards, four assists and two steals.

Our View: Azubuike continues to earn minutes from his coach with a smooth jumper and sound defense. He is a good bench option in deeper leagues.
Captain Jack leads Warriors to victoryThursday 11/6, 12:48 AM CT
Stephen Jackson played well on both ends of the court to lead the Warriors to a 111-101 win over the Nuggets on Wednesday. He scored 29 points with seven assists, while playing excellent defense on Carmelo Anthony most of the night. He was 1-for-9 from three-point range and made five turnovers.

Our View: Captain Jack is averaging more than 44 minutes per game and 22.8 points per game. However, he is a serious drag on his owner's field goal percentage and turnover categories.
Wright plays big minutes in winThursday 11/6, 12:44 AM CT
Brandan Wright played 32 productive minutes off of the bench as the Warriors defeated the Nuggets 111-101 on Wednesday night. Wright finished with 18 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks.

Our View: He had not played more than 10 minutes in any other game this season, but it was clear coach Don Nelson wanted to play Wright in the second half rather than starting power forward Al Harrington, who played just 16 minutes in the win.
Anthony falls 14 short of 44Thursday 11/6, 12:41 AM CT
On a night that he said he would go for 44 points to honor his country's 44th president, Carmelo Anthony went for 30 points on 13-for-30 shooting. He also had eight rebounds and five assists as the Nuggets fell 101-111 to the Warriors.

Our View: Stephen Jackson played excellent defense on Melo all night long. You can expect a healthy dose of 30-plus point performances from Anthony now that Allen Iverson has left town.
Nene shines in lossThursday 11/6, 12:37 AM CT
Nene Hilario had his second big game of the season as the Nuggets fell to the Warriors 101-111 on Wednesday. He finished with 19 points, on 6-of-8 shooting, 15 rebounds and three blacks.

Our View: When Nene is focused, he has shown that he can dominate, just as he did against Chris Kaman and the Clippers last Friday.
Beasley scores 17 in winThursday 11/6, 12:34 AM CT
Michael Beasley had 17 points and nine rebounds as the Heat defeated Philadelphia 106-83 on Wednesday.

Our View: He showed plenty of signs of being a rookie as he shot just 7-of-17 and made four turnovers.
Camby has four blocks in 16 minutesThursday 11/6, 12:30 AM CT
Marcus Camby was held to just 16 minutes because of foul trouble on Tuesday. He still managed seven rebounds and four blocks.

Our View: Camby is still getting accustomed to his new team as a sore heal kept him out of the preseason. Regardless, he will continue to excel on the defensive end, even playing next to center Chris Kaman.
Thomas puts up double-double in lossThursday 11/6, 12:25 AM CT
With Marcus Camby starting at power forward, Tim Thomas played 33 minutes off of the bench and finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds as the Clippers lost 106-88 to the Lakers on Wednesday.

Our View: He hit just one three-pointer in the game. Camby only played 16 minutes which does not figure to be the case many nights.
Kobe scores 27 in winThursday 11/6, 12:22 AM CT
Kobe Bryant poured in 27 points as the Lakers beat the Clippers 106-88 on Wednesday. He was just 8-for-21 from the field and 11-for-14 from the line.

Our View: Kobe had three assists, two boards, two steals, two blocks and two turnovers on the night. His production will fluctuate with his minutes as a dominant Lakers squad will look to keep Kobe as fresh as possible throughout the season.
Odom plays best game yet off of benchThursday 11/6, 12:18 AM CT
Lamar Odom had his best game of the regular season as the Lakers beat the Clippers 106-88 on Wednesday. He played 29 minutes off of the bench, scored 15 points, grabbed nine rebounds, had three steals and blocked two shots in the win.

Our View: It was a good game for Odom and this line will probably be among his better ones of the season, barring an injury to Andrew Bynum or Pau Gasol.
Bynum grabs 17 rebounds in winThursday 11/6, 12:14 AM CT
Andrew Bynum scored just nine points, but he pulled down 17 rebounds and blocked four shots as the Lakers defeated the Clippers 106-88 on Wednesday.

Our View: Bynum will have a number of games like this during the season and his owners should not be upset. Bynum is fantasy relative because of his rebounding and shot-blocking abilities.
Miller set to return from suspensionThursday 11/6, 12:08 AM CT
The AP reports that center Brad Miller finished his five-game suspension for violating the NBA's drug program on Wednesday. He'll return for Friday's game against Minnesota.

Our View: We fully expect him to start even though Spencer Hawes has played very well in his absence. Don't be surprise if he is shopped heavily to teams like the Miami Heat who badly need a center.
Arthur's role is diminishingThursday 11/6, 12:05 AM CT
Darrell Arthur started again at power forward for the Grizzlies on Wednesday, but he managed just 17 minutes of playing time. He had four points and five rebounds on 1-for-7 shooting.

Our View: This marks the third straight game with 17 minutes or less and Arthur has been mostly irrelevant in each of those games. It seems only a matter of time before he loses the job to Hakim Warrick or Darko Milicic.
