Millsap scores 24 in winMonday 11/3, 11:56 PM CT
Paul Millsap played a big role off of the bench for Utah on Monday as they defeated the Clippers 89-73. He finished with 24 points and nine rebounds while shooting 8-for-12.

Our View: Millsap is a good talent who could start for some teams. However, his minutes figure to be too inconsistent for him to make any sort of fantasy impact except for in very deep leagues.
West steps up in win over MavsMonday 11/3, 11:37 PM CT
Delonte West finished with 14 points on 4-of-5 shooting as the Cavaliers defeated the Mavericks 100-81. He had three treys, five assists, four rebounds, and three steals on the night.

Our View: This was a very efficient game for Cleveland's starting shooting guard and his best of the season so far. West remains a viable fantasy bench option as he can do a little bit of everything, but nothing exceptionally.
Stackhouse sits out with foot injuryMonday 11/3, 11:18 PM CT
The AP reports that Jerry Stackhouse did not play on Monday because he is battling a foot problem. The Mavs lost 81-100.

Our View: Stack started last game for the Mavs. The extent of his injury is not yet known.
Marion misses practiceMonday 11/3, 11:14 PM CT
Shawn Marion did not practice with the Heat on Monday, according to the Miami Herald. He broke his nose on Saturday against Charlotte. "I think once we figure out how the mask fits and how he can take contact we'll move on from there," Spoelstra said.

Our View: Marion had said earlier that he would not miss any playing time and we don't expect him to.
Dirk held to just eight pointsMonday 11/3, 10:34 PM CT
Dirk Nowitzki was held to eight points and six rebounds in 32 minutes as the Mavericks fell 81-100 to the Cavaliers on Monday.

Our View: The Cavs have a variety of quality defenders to throw at the other team's star and it's clear they had a quality gameplan for Dirk tonight. He had averaged 28.5 points in his first two games of the season.
Ilgauskus comes through for CavsMonday 11/3, 10:31 PM CT
Zydrunas Ilgauskas played very well as the Cavaliers defeated the Mavericks 100-81 on Monday night. He scored 17 points with 11 rebounds and two blocks, while shooting 6-for-15.

Our View: It seems like Big Z is always viewed as past his prime, but for the last few seasons, he has been an exceptional No. 2 center in fantasy leagues.
LeBron scores 29 in lossMonday 11/3, 10:10 PM CT
LeBron James hit 13-of-15 free throws and finished with 29 points as the Cavaliers won 100-81 in Dallas on Monday. He also had eight assists, three rebounds, two steals and a block in the impressive win.

Our View: The King was averaging just 19.5 points through his first three games but forced the issue on Monday. He was shooting just 62.5 percent from the free throw line entering the game and is 0-for-11 this season from beyond the arc.
Biedrins grabs 22 rebounds in lossMonday 11/3, 10:05 PM CT
Andris Biedrins had 16 points and 22 rebounds as the Warriors fell on the road to the Grizzlies 79-90. Golden State shot just 34.4 percent, but their big man shot 8-for-14.

Our View: He is averaging 17.5 points and 14.5 rebounds through the Warriors first four games and is proving he is worth the big contract he was awarded in the summer.
Marc Gasol dominates in Memphis victoryMonday 11/3, 10:02 PM CT
Marc Gasol poured in 27 points and grabbed 16 boards as the Grizzlies held off the Warriors 90-79 on Monday. The big rookie was 9-for-11 from both the field and the free throw line and also blocked three shots.

Our View: Not too many people saw this one coming. Gasol was an absolute force for the Griz and if he is on your waiver wire, he certainly seems worth taking a flier on.
Deng scores one point in lossMonday 11/3, 9:03 PM CT
Luol Deng was held to just one point against the Magic on Monday as the Bulls lost 93-96 to the Magic. He was 0-for-8 shooting but did grab seven rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Our View: Deng's poor performance was a big difference in the game. He dealt with major inconsistency issues last season and his owners need to be aware that these nights will occur throughout the season.
Gooden leads Bulls in scoringMonday 11/3, 8:59 PM CT
A game after grabbing 20 rebounds for the Bulls, Drew Gooden grabbed just three as Chicago fell 93-96 to the Magic on Monday. He did lead all Bulls in scoring with 21 points.

Our View: Gooden did foul out of the game which may have limited his aggressiveness on the boards, but this was probably more of a case of being dominated by Dwight Howard.
Howard dominates in winMonday 11/3, 8:54 PM CT
Dwight Howard was his usual beastly-self on Monday as Orlando defeated the Bulls 96-93 on Monday. He finished with 22 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks in the close victory.

Our View: Howard is averaging 4.5 blocks per game through his first four. He had previously pledged to lead the league in this category and he has not let his owners down to this point.
Sacramento rookie is impressiveMonday 11/3, 8:51 PM CT
Rookie Jason Thompson continues to excel for the Sacramento Kings. He led all Kings with 17 points, six rebounds, and five assists.

Our View: Thompson is averaging 14.3 points and 7.0 rebounds and has been an unlikely fantasy contributor so far this season. It remains to be seen how many minutes he will receive once Brad Miller returns to the lineup.
Hawes has yet another good gameMonday 11/3, 8:46 PM CT
Spencer Hawes continues to excel in place of the suspended Brad Miller. On Monday against the 76ers, he scored 15 points, grabbed eight rebounds, had three steals and two blocks.

Our View: Hawes has done everything asked of him, including hitting 4-of-5 three-point attempts. He has likely earned himself more playing time with his efforts to start the season while replacing Miller.
Richardson held to four points against PistonsMonday 11/3, 8:40 PM CT
Jason Richardson was held to just four points as the Bobcats fell 101-83 at home to Detroit on Monday. He was 2-for-10 from the field in 33 minutes.

Our View: Richardson is rarely shutdown to this degree. He had gotten off to a strong start in Charlotte's first two games and should rebound strongly in his next start.

Brown leads Bobcats in scoringMonday 11/3, 8:38 PM CT
Shannon Brown came off the Bobcats' bench to score 16 points in 26 minutes on Monday as Charlotte fell to Detroit. He also had four steals, a block and three assists.

Our View: Brown's status going forward is up in the air as coach Larry Brown is still trying to work out his rotation. However, tonight's performance should earn him more minutes going forward. Regardless, unless he finds his way into the starting lineup, which is unlikely, he holds no fantasy value.
Hamilton leads the way in Pistons victoryMonday 11/3, 8:34 PM CT
On the same day he signed a three-year extension to stay with Detroit, Richard Hamilton led the Pistons to a victory in Charlotte. He scored 19 points, had five assists and four rebounds while shooting 9-for-18.

Our View: Hamilton will likely see less scoring opportunities once Allen Iverson shows up with the Pistons. Rip's value will likely be negatively impacted by The Answer's ball-domination.
Stuckey turns in sub-par performance as starterMonday 11/3, 8:31 PM CT
Rodney Stuckey turned in a mediocre performance while getting the starting nod at point guard against the Bobcats on Monday. He played 25 minutes and finished with nine points, three assists and four rebounds. He had one turnover and no steals.

Our View: Stuckey will be moved back to his sixth-man role once Allen Iverson rejoins the team. He had a big chance tonight to make a statement against a bad Charlotte team, but was unable to come through.
Stuckey starts at point guardMonday 11/3, 6:55 PM CT
Rodney Stuckey started at point guard for the Pistons on Monday night in Charlotte. Allen Iverson has yet to join the team.

Our View: Stuckey will likely continue to come off of the bench for the Pistons but he could see more crunch time minutes. Iverson will likely be let go as a free agent next summer and that is when Stuckey's fantasy value will see a significant increase.
Sessions will continue to come off of the benchMonday 11/3, 6:42 PM CT
ESPN.com reports that coach Scott Skiles has said that Ramon Sessions will continue to back up Luke Ridnour when he returns from his back injury.

Our View: Sessions has averaged 15 points, 8.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 2 steals in his two starts this season. However, Skiles prefers defense to offense and Sessions does not offer much of the former.
Hamilton gets extensionMonday 11/3, 5:24 PM CT
ESPN.com reports that the Pistons have signed Richard Hamilton to a three-year, $34 million extension.

Our View: Earlier in the day, the Pistons acquired Allen Iverson, who figures to negatively impact Hamilton's value. However, AI figures to be gone next season and Hamilton's backcourt partner figures to be Rodney Stuckey. At that point, his fantasy value would fuly be restored.
Williams' ankle is improvingMonday 11/3, 5:09 PM CT
Point guard Deron Williams' ankle is improving but he will not play on Monday and is questionable for Wednesday's game, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.

Our View: Williams will be an excellent option once he returns but he remains an extremely risky play this week.
Peterson misses practiceMonday 11/3, 4:53 PM CT
The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that Morris Peterson sat out Monday's practice with a sore neck, but he is expected to return to practice on Tuesday.

Our View: Peterson is not going to blow anyone away, but he shoots well, hits a lot of threes and gets a few steals. He is borderline fantasy worthy.
Stojakovic recovering quicklyMonday 11/3, 4:51 PM CT
The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that Peja Stojakovic was jogging and running to spots on the court to take jump shots Monday. "I'm shocked totally, he injured that ankle Thursday and I kind of concurred with (trainer) Terry Kofler that it was basically two to four weeks," cach Byron Scott said. "Now he's out here jogging. He wants to play."

Our View: Expect Peja to miss Wednesday's game but it appears he may try to go this weekend. He remains a very risky play this week.
Tucker has knee surgeryMonday 11/3, 4:29 PM CT
The Arizona Republic reports that Alando Tucker will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Tuesday and is expected to miss two to four weeks.

Our View: The surgery is a simple clean-up procedure and he should be back before Christmas. However, he does not figure to crack the Suns' rotation without an injury to one of their better players.
Bynum strains shoulderMonday 11/3, 4:26 PM CT
The Orange County Register reports that Andrew Bynum strained the rotator cuff in his right shoulder during practice but is expected to play Wednesday night against the Clippers. "It’s all right; it’s just a little tight,” Bynum said.

Our View: Bynum should practice on Tuesday, but with a weak shoulder, expect him to challenge less shots and perhaps attempt less dunks until he is once again 100 percent.
Nuggets waive Howard Monday 11/3, 3:44 PM CT
Juwan Howard has been waived by the Nuggets, according to the Miami Herald.

Our View: The 35-year-old only averaged 7.7 minutes per game, and was waived to make room for Antonio McDyess on the roster.
Ridnour is day-to-day Monday 11/3, 3:21 PM CT
Luke Ridnour is considered day-to-day due to a bout with back spasms, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Ridnour holds little fantasy value, but is expected to return for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.
Redd considered day-to-day Monday 11/3, 3:11 PM CT
Michael Redd is considered day-to-day with his mildly sprained right ankle, according to the Associated Press. Redd said, "I just have to take it day by day, continue to get treatment on it. It is a little swollen, but I didn’t hear anything crack or anything."

Our View: The Bucks expect the sharpshooter to be back in the lineup Wednesday against the Wizards.
Samb dealt to Denver Monday 11/3, 1:25 PM CT
Cheick Samb has been dealt from the Pistons to the Nuggets as part of the trade involving Allen Iverson, according to the Associated Press. Denver also acquired Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess.

Our View: The 24-year-old center is considered to be a project, and won't make a favorable impact in Denver this season.
McDyess returns to Denver Monday 11/3, 1:16 PM CT
Antonio McDyess has been traded from the Pistons to the Nuggets as part of the package involving Allen Iverson, according to the Associated Press. The Nuggets also get Chauncey Billups and Cheick Samb.

Our View: McDyess returns to the Nuggets, who he started his career with back in 1995. McDyess is not much of a scorer, but is a solid defensive player, namely in the rebounding department.
Billups traded to Denver Monday 11/3, 1:10 PM CT
Chauncey Billups has been traded from the Pistons to the Nuggets as part of the deal involving Allen Iverson, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: It may take him some time to feel comfortable with his new club, but should remain a solid and productive No. 2 fantasy guard.
Iverson shipped to the Motor City Monday 11/3, 1:04 PM CT
Allen Iverson has been traded from the Nuggets to the Pistons in exchange for Chauncey Billups, Antonio McDyess, and Cheick Samb, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Iverson should continue to play heavy minutes with his new club, but his scoring may slightly dip, as the Pistons traditionally like to balance their offense and production.
Lucas waived by Thunder Monday 11/3, 12:48 PM CT
John Lucas has been waived by the Thunder, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: He was inactive for the first three games of the season, and was unable to crack the rotation at point guard behind starter Earl Watson, first-round pick Russell Westbrook and third-stringer Kyle Weaver.
Marion has broken nose Monday 11/3, 11:45 AM CT
It has been revealed that Shawn Marion suffered a broken nose during Saturday’s loss to Charlotte, according to the Sun-Sentinel.

Our View: He is not expected to miss any action, and will just need to wear a protective mask.
Iverson bound for Detroit? Monday 11/3, 11:15 AM CT
The Detroit News is reporting Allen Iverson will be traded to the Pistons in exchange for Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess.

Our View: The deal could be completed at any moment, and we will keep you posted. Richard Hamilton could potentially serve as the sixth-man with Iverson and Rodney Stuckey starting at the two guard spots. Hamilton could see time at small forward as well.
Curry deactivated Monday 11/3, 9:51 AM CT
Eddy Curry was deactivated with a sore knee, according to the NY Post.

Our View: He could be out for at least a week. Curry is not a great athlete at this point in his career, and won't be a good fit in coach Mike D'Antoni's fast-paced offense. meaning he won't likely hold much fantasy value with the team this season.
Camby questionable for Monday Monday 11/3, 9:45 AM CT
Marcus Camby, who is recovering from a bruised heel, is questionable for Monday's game against the Jazz, according to ClipsNation.com.

Our View: It was previously stated that he was aiming at this game to make his Clippers' debut. His strong defensive skills would greatly help against a tough Utah club.
Telfair to return Wednesday Monday 11/3, 9:41 AM CT
Sebastian Telfair will return from his three-game suspension Wednesday, according to the Downtown Journal.

Our View: Randy Foye is not playing up to expectations, and Telfair could cut into his minutes when he returns. Telfair has solid skills and is worth targeting as a flier.
West to start on MondayMonday 11/3, 12:01 AM CT
Mike Brown said Delonte West would probably start at shooting guard against the Mavericks on Monday. He had slightly injured his wrist on Saturday.

Our View: West has played mostly below expectations this season which may be in part due to a short preseason. Keep an eye on his production as he is capable of becoming a nice bench player in fantasy leagues.
