Marbury to meet with Walsh and D'AntoniSunday 11/2, 11:38 PM CT
The AP reports that Knicks president Donnie Walsh plans to speak with coach Mike D’Antoni and Stephon Marbury this week in hopes of clearing up an uncomfortable roster situation.

Our View: Marbury is currently on the inactive list, and we assume the move is in order to force Marbury into accepting a buyout. However, with the poor play of Chris Duhon, the Knicks may be better off with Marbury on the floor.
Collison turns in double-double for Thunder's first winSunday 11/2, 11:03 PM CT
Nick Collison was good for 10 points, 10 rebounds, three steals, and two blocks in 31 minutes as the Thunder beat the Timberwolves.

Our View: Collison should put up similar production. He is a very good player on teams that can afford to sacrafice points.
McCants has rough night against ThunderSunday 11/2, 10:55 PM CT
After two productive games off of the bench, Rashad McCants shot just 1-for-6 to finish with four points in 19 minutes.

Our View: If McCants can't hit his shot, he is useless to his fantasy owners. After taking 18 shots in their first game, he has combined for 14 shots in his past two. Expect similar inconsistencies all season unless there is a major shakeup in Minnesota's rotation.
Love sees little action in lossSunday 11/2, 10:50 PM CT
Kevin Love played 18 minutes and had four points, four rebounds, and a block as Minnesota fell to Oklahoma City 85-88.

Our View: Love is not roster worthy right now. There will be night's when he gets minutes and produces decent stat lines, but there are better, more consistent options out there.
Foye fails to hit field goal in lossSunday 11/2, 10:26 PM CT
Randy Foye shot 0-for-10 as the Timberwolves fell to the Thunder 85-88 on Sunday. He had six assists to go with five turnovers.

Our View: Foye has shot just 8-of-36 to start the season. He was once known as a scorer, but he is only averaging 7.3 points per game thus far into the season.
Robinson remains consistentSunday 11/2, 9:46 PM CT
Nate Robinson had another good game off of the bench on Sunday. In 25 minutes of action, he scored 14 points, had five rebounds, four assists and three steals as the Knicks fell 86-94 to the Bucks at home.

Our View: He's been fairly consistent through three games, averaging 13 points, 4.3 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and an impressive 2.7 steals. He also has delivered on five three-pointers and with Chris Duhon struggling, Robinson could be in line for a bigger role moving forward.
Westbrook steps it up in OKC's first winSunday 11/2, 9:10 PM CT
Russell Westbrook sparked a comeback as the Thunder beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 88-85 Sunday night for their first victory in their new home, according to the AP. He sparked a 13-0 run that pulled the Thunder out of a third-quarter deficit, then hit the go-ahead basket with a driving layup that made it 86-85 with 2:19 to play and Oklahoma City stopped Minnesota on its next six possessions to hang on for the win. He finished with 14 points, two assists and two steals.

Our View: Westbrook may have earned himself some more playing time with the clutch performance. He has played well to start the season, but picking him up at this point may be a risky move depending on who it is that you have to drop.
Mbah a Moute plays 35 minutes in winSunday 11/2, 8:51 PM CT
Rookie Luc Richard Mbah a Moute played 35 minutes off of the bench on Sunday as the Bucks defeated the Knicks 94-86. He had 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting with 10 rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Our View: This was by far his best performance of the season. He played significantly more minutes than Charlie Villanueva in the game. On most team's the rookie would not play so big a role, but for defense-obsessed Scott Skilles, M&M could continue to play a big role for the Bucks. However, we're willing to bet he will be too inconsistent to become a valuable fantasy producer.
Villanueva scores 16 in 21 minutesSunday 11/2, 8:46 PM CT
Charlie Villanueva played just 21 minutes but scored 16 points on 8-of-17 shooting with eight rebounds. Luc Mbah a Moute played 35 minutes off of the bench.

Our View: VIllanueva was supposed to be the unquestioned starting forward heading into this season, but he has played vary inconsistent minutes through four games. He has played as many as 34 and as few as nine. We expect him to beat out the rookie for the bulk of the minutes most nights, but nothing has been set in stone.
Jefferson gets another double-double in lossSunday 11/2, 8:34 PM CT
Al Jefferson scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds but it was not enough to put the Timberwolves over the Thunder on Sunday. He shot 11-for-17 on the night.

Our View: Another standard game for Jefferson. He is becoming one of the most consistent big men in the game and a valuable fantasy commodity.
Durant leads Thunder to first winSunday 11/2, 8:31 PM CT
Kevin Durant led Oklahoma City over Minnesota 88-85 on Sunday. He scored 18 points and grabbed five rebounds in the Thunder's first victory of the season.

Our View: Durant shot just 7-for-21 on the night and did not attempt a three-pointer. He has shot poorly to start the season.
Jefferson helps Bucks over KnicksSunday 11/2, 8:27 PM CT
Richard Jefferson scored 18 points as the Bucks defeated the Knicks at home on Sunday. He added six rebounds, six assists and a steal in the effort.

Our View: Jefferson is off to a sound start with Milwaukee. His scoring is down but he's been doing enough of everything else to maintain his fantasy standing.
Duhon's struggles continueSunday 11/2, 8:19 PM CT
Chris Duhon scored only six points to go with three assists in 37 minutes of action as the Knicks fell at home to the Bucks on Sunday. Point guard Stephon Marbury remained on the inactive list.

Our View: Through three games, the Knicks starting point guard is averaging 6.7 points, 4.3 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.3 steals. He is shooting 30 percent and has yet to score double digits despite averaging 36.3 minutes. His poor production is likely putting further pressure on coach Mike D'Antoni to not only activate Marbury, but to give him good minutes as well.
Crawford scores one point in lossSunday 11/2, 8:15 PM CT
Jamal Crawford shot 0-for-6 and finished with just one point in the Knicks 86-94 loss to the Bucks on Sunday. He played 32 minutes in the game.

Our View: After scoring 29 in the opener, Crawford has just 15 points in his last two games. He is a very streaky shooter, but did not give himself a chance to get it going on Sunday. We can't recall the last time he shot just six time in a game that he started,
Redd is injured in winSunday 11/2, 8:09 PM CT
The AP reports that Michael Redd had 16 points, making all three 3-point attempts, before leaving with a sprained right ankle in Milwaukee's 94-86 win over the Knicks on Sunday. Redd went to the locker room when he fell awkwardly chasing a loose ball.

Our View: Redd is off to a good start this season and an injury would obviously be bad news for the Bucks and his fantasy owners. We will keep you updated on the extent of the injury.
Sessions leads Bucks in win over KnicksSunday 11/2, 8:05 PM CT
Ramon Sessions made his second staight start on Sunday as the Bucks defeated the Knicks 94-86. He played 43 minutes and finished with 18 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and three steals.

Our View: Sessions has played exceptionally in two consecutive nights as Luke Ridnour has sat out with a stiff back. We're willing to bet he keeps the starting job and recommend picking up Sessions if he is available.
Bogut produces in winSunday 11/2, 8:02 PM CT
Andrew Bogut helped the Bucks win in New York on Sunday. He scored 13 points, had 11 rebounds and three blocks.

Our View: Bogut also shot 1-5 from the free throw line and had three more turnovers. He is a category killer in both of those columns.
Richardson scores 28 in lossSunday 11/2, 7:57 PM CT
Quentin Richardson went off for 28 points as the Knicks fell at home to the Bucks 86-94 on Sunday. He had nine rebounds and five threes, while shooting 11-18 from the field.

Our View: Richardson went undrafted in a lot of leagues but he should be a fantastic source of high percentages and three-pointers.
Stojakovic is improvingSunday 11/2, 7:37 PM CT
Peja Stojakovic (ankle) limited the bulk of his Sunday work in practice to stretching, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. "Peja feels a lot better," coach Byron Scott said. "He's still a little ways away.

Our View: Don't expect the three-point specialist to play this week. Rasual Butler played very well in his place on Saturday, and it's a safe bet that James Posey sees more minutes in his absence.
Chandler moving betterSunday 11/2, 7:34 PM CT
The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that Tyson Chandler (ankle) seemed to be moving well as he worked on his shooting Sunday.

Our View: Chandler should be back by mid-week but he could be a risky start if you have to set your starters on Sunday.
Wright sits out against MinnesotaSunday 11/2, 6:05 PM CT
Antoine Wright, who started Dallas' first game, did not play in their 95-85 win over Minnesota.

Our View: Jerry Stackhouse started and was backed up by Jason Terry and Gerald Green. Wright's minimal fantasy value is now negligible.
Posey making impactSunday 11/2, 5:49 PM CT
James Posey played 29 minutes off of the bench as New Orleans beat Cleveland 104-92 on Saturday night. He finished the game with 15 points, six rebounds, four assists, four threes and two assists.

Our View: Posey is playing 27.3 minutes per game to start the season and he's averaging 13 points and doing a little bit of everything else. He has 10 treys through three games.
Gibson plays big role off of benchSunday 11/2, 5:43 PM CT
Daniel Gibson played 33 minutes in Saturday's 92-104 loss to New Orleans. He finished with 14 points, including two three-pointers.

Our View: Gibson has come off the bench to average 15 points through three games. He has played 29 minutes per game and has six treys. Aside from points and three-pointers though, Gibson will not help your fantasy team out in other categories.
Maggette gets double-double on the roadSunday 11/2, 5:30 PM CT
Corey Maggette scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Warriors won on the road in New Jersey 105-97. Although he shot just 3-for-13 from the floor, he was 13-for-15 from the line.

Our View: Maggette has 26 rebounds through three games which is an unexpected stat for his owners. Maggette gets to the line as much as anyone in the league and he typically converts his attempts.
Okafor scores 18, grabs 13 boardsSunday 11/2, 5:17 PM CT
Emeka Okafor scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as the Bobcats beat the Heat 100-87 on Saturday. He sot 7-for-9 from the field.

Our View: Okafor had just seven points through 37 minutes on 33 percent shooting in the team's first game. Jared Dudley started ahead of Sean May on Saturday.
Wallace comes up big in winSunday 11/2, 5:10 PM CT
Rasheed Wallace was a big factor in Detroit's 117-109 win over Washington on Saturday. He finished with 17 points on 7-for-9 shooting, including two three-pointers. He also contributed 17 points, 12 rebounds, six blocks, two assists and a steal.

Our View: Wallace is in a contract year and new coach Michael Curry has asked him to be a bigger factor in the post this season. More efforts such as this would make Wallace among the top centers in fantasy.
Young scores 23 off of the bench in lossSunday 11/2, 5:06 PM CT
Nick Young played 29 minutes off of the bench as the Wizards fell 109-117 in Detroit on Saturday. He finished with 23 points, while shooting a perfect 11-for-11 from the line.

Our View: Starting two-guard DeShawn Stevenson played 25 minutes and had just eight points. Keep an eye on this situation. Coach Eddie Jordan likes Young a lot and Stevenson is one of the weakest starting shooting guards in the league.
Butler produces across the boardSunday 11/2, 5:03 PM CT
Caron Butler scored 21 points, grabbed six rebounds, dished out six assists and came up with three steals as the Wizards fell 109-117 in Detroit on Saturday.

Our View: Butler's per game production was amongst the best in fantasy last season. After a rough first game in which he shot 27 percent, he hit nine of his 18 shots on Saturday.
Pietrus scores 20 in winSunday 11/2, 5:00 PM CT
Mickael Pietrus scored 20 points for the second time in three games as the Magic defeated the Kings 121-103 on Saturday. He was 6-for-9 from the field and 7-for-7 from the free throw line.

Our View: Pietrus is playing a good sized role in a talented Magic offense. The better news is that he is 11-for-11 from the line. He has never shot above 70 percent from the line in any season.
Lewis scores 26 in winSunday 11/2, 4:55 PM CT
Rashard Lewis finished Saturday's win over Sacramento with 26 points, seven rebounds and six assists. He shot 10-for-20 from the field.

Our View: Lewis has been the unquestioned focal point of the Magic's offense this season. He should average more than 20.0 points per game this season after putting up 18.2 last season.
Rookie playing big role for KingsSunday 11/2, 4:50 PM CT
Rookie Jason Thompson continues to play big minutes for the Kings. On Saturday, he played 24 minutes and shot 5-for-7 from the field to finish with 12 points. He also had five rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block.

Our View: The rookie is probably available on the waiver wire and there's no reason to think his playing time will be reduced. Through three games, he is averaging 13.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks. He is shooting over 60 percent from the field and a perfect 6-for-6 from the line.
Williams struggles in first gameSunday 11/2, 4:44 PM CT
Marvin Williams returned from his one game suspension, but hit just one of his seven shots to finish with two points in 20 minutes.

Our View: Williams was not in foul trouble (he finished with none), he was just ineffective. Of all the Hawks, his numbers were the only to suffer after the arrival of Mike Bibby last season. He has never been a very good multi-category fantasy player, but he could be in line for a long season.
Iguodala finally producesSunday 11/2, 4:41 PM CT
Andre Iguodala put together his first nice all around game of the season against the Hawks on Saturday. He had 16 points, including two three-pointers, three steals, four assists, four rebounds and a block.

Our View: Iguodala had gotten off to a slow start but his owners should expect to enjoy more games such as this moving forward.
Young puts together first good gameSunday 11/2, 4:38 PM CT
Thaddeus Young had 22 points and five rebounds on 9-for-15 shooting against Hawks as the Sixers 95-88 on Saturday. He hit four treys in the effort.

Our View: Young had been in foul trouble in his first two games but was able to play 37 minutes against Atlanta. He hit just six threes last season but he is already 5-for-9 from beyond the arc this season.
Baron will miss more timeSunday 11/2, 4:16 PM CT
The L.A. Times reports that Baron Davis will miss Monday's game against the Jazz at Staples Center due to a sore hip and he could be out longer. "It's probably going to be three or four days and we'll kind of re-evaluate," Clippers Coach Mike Dunleavy said.

Our View: This is what makes Davis a classic high risk/high reward draft pick He played 82 games last season and was on a lot of fantasy champions. However, he played in 67 or less games in five straight seasons prior to last year's contract year. Aside from the sore hip, Davis also has a badly sprained finger on his left hand.
Carter injures hand; leads team in scoringSunday 11/2, 4:12 PM CT
The New York Times reports that Vince Carter hurt his left hand and briefly left the game to have it X-rayed. The results were negative.

Our View: Carter led the Nets with 20 points on 7-for-14 shooting. Expect him to shoot more and score more as long as the injury does not bother him.
Blatche is benchedSunday 11/2, 4:05 PM CT
The Washington Post reports that after four minutes of action on Saturday, Andray Blatche was benched by coach Eddie Jordan. "You give guys a chance and the opportunity is there for them. If you give great effort, you get the benefit of the doubt." Jordan said. "If there's not enough effort there and not enough sincere play, you are not going to play."

Our View: It would appear that Blatche has landed in the doghouse and Darius Songaila will likely see his minutes for the time being. However, at some point this season, Blatche will see big minutes and when he does be prepared to pick him up.
James activatedSunday 11/2, 3:40 PM CT
Jerome James will be active for the first time after suffering a quad strain earlier in training camp, according to the New York Post.

Our View: James has been one of many expensive busts for the Knicks. He played in just two games last year and totaled five minutes.
Martin day-to-daySunday 11/2, 1:40 PM CT
Kenyon Martin strained his left hamstring and had to leave the team's game on Saturday, according to the Denver Post.

Our View: Martin had 18 points before departing, and says he'll be fine. Go ahead and keep him in your fantasy lineup for now.
Marbury may be waivedSunday 11/2, 8:48 AM CT
Stephon Marbury may not be with the New York Knicks for long, as head coach Mike D'Antoni wants to waive the point guard. It may happen soon, according to the New York Post.

Our View: Should it go down, Marbury would be a free agent. The paper reports that the Heat and Nuggets may be interested in his services. Obviously, he has no fantasy value with the Knicks.
Williams upset over optionSunday 11/2, 8:03 AM CT
Nets big man Sean Williams is not receiving playing time, and he asked the Nets not to pick up his option, but they did so anyway, according to the New York Post.

Our View: Williams is the team's third-string center, thus his unhappiness with the option. He obviously possesses no fantasy value.
Nuggets to move AI?Sunday 11/2, 7:57 AM CT
The Denver Nuggets apparently offered up Allen Iverson in return for Detroit point guard Chauncey Billups, but the Pistons balked, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View: That would be an interesting deal, but we're not sure AI fits quite like Billups does at the point for Detroit. Iverson has averaged 21.5 points in two games this year.
Bulls don't want RandolphSunday 11/2, 7:54 AM CT
The Chicago Bulls are not interested in acquiring Knicks forward Zach Randolph, as had been reported, according to the New York Post.

Our View: Randolph has played okay for Mike D'Antoni, averaging 30 minutes, 16 points, eight boards, two assists and one blocker in two games, but his field goal percentage is just .353.
Knicks wanted KiddSunday 11/2, 7:46 AM CT
The New York Knicks apparently made a play for Dallas point guard Jason Kidd, and offered up Stephon Marbury, according to the New York Post.

Our View: We're not sure in what world that would be considered a fair deal for Kidd, and it would take a whole lot more than that to pry him away from Dallas.
Collins nearing returnSunday 11/2, 7:27 AM CT
Minnesota big man Jason Collins is getting closer to making his return from an injured elbow, and he may be able to play by the end of next week, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

Our View: Collins is simply depth for the Timberwolves and has no fantasy value.
Roy scores 20 points in losing effortSunday 11/2, 12:06 AM CT
Brandon Roy scored 20 points in Saturday's 107-96 loss to Phoenix. He also contributed one rebound, four assists, and two blocks. He shot 2-of-6 from long range.

Our View: Roy is off to a solid start as he is averaging 20 points over the first three games. He should remain a favorable option as a starting fantasy guard.
Stoudemire leads Suns to win Sunday 11/2, 12:01 AM CT
Amare Stoudemire notched a game-high 23 points and 13 boards in Saturday's 107-96 win over Portland, with two assists and a steal.

Our View: Stoudemire was slowed by injuries in the preseason, but is seemingly fine now, as he recorded a double-double in back-to-back games.
