Newsbreakers
July 1, 2010
Martin Biron has signed a two-year, $900,000 deal with the Rangers, according to TSN's Darren Dreger.

Our View:He will back-up the all-world Henrik Lundqvist the next two seasons. Obviously, barring an injury to Henrik, Biron won't be a fantasy option.
April 6, 2010
Martin Biron allowed three goals on 31 shots in regulation, but stood tall in shootouts to give the Isles a 4-3 win over the Canadiens on Tuesday.

Our View:Biron is now 9-12-4 on the season and has won four straight games for the suddenly surging Islanders. Still, despite his recent strong play, he's not a viable option in fantasy circles.
April 3, 2010
Martin Biron rejected 28-of-29 shots in today's 4-1 win over the Senators.

Our View:Biron earned a win in three straight starts, but still cannot be trusted in fantasy leagues. He is just 8-12-4 for the season, with a dismal 3.02 goals-against average.
March 25, 2010
Martin Biron stopped 21-of-23 shots on Thursday as the Islanders topped the Flames 3-2.

Our View:Biron rebounded nicely after a miserable outing on March 19th where he allowed five goals in a loss to the Ducks. Still, at 6-12-4 on the season he's not a fantasy asset.
March 14, 2010
Martin Biron rejected 26-of-27 shots in tonight's 4-1 home win over the Maple Leafs.

Our View:Biron only allowed one goal in each of his last two starts, but still cannot be trusted as a fantasy option - with a dismal 3.03 goals-against average for the season.
March 11, 2010
Martin Biron faced 36 shots in regulation and overtime Thursday and allowed just one goal, but he was bested in back-to-back shootout attempts as the Isles fell to the Blues 2-1.

Our View:Biron had a solid game, but is not a fantasy option with his 4-12-3 record and GAA well over 3.00 on the season.
February 9, 2010
Martin Biron's 24 saves were enough to earn New York two points on Tuesday night, as the Islanders downed the Predators 4-3 in a shootout win.

Our View:With Dwayne Roloson and Rick DiPietro both in tow in New York City, don't expect Biron to be picking up any more wins in the near future.
February 9, 2010
Martin Biron will get the nod against the Predators tonight, according to Newsday.

Our View:The start will be Biron's first since Dec. 27 as he gives Rick DiPietro and Dwayne Roloson a rest. Don't expect many more starts coming Biron's way this season.
February 5, 2010
According to Newsday, Martin Biron will play for Bridgeport of the AHL on Friday and Saturday, and is expected to return to the Islanders on Sunday.

Our View:Biron is on a conditioning stint, and although he will return to the team shortly, he has virtually zero fantasy value now that he is the Isles third goaltender. The return of Rick DiPietro has essentially made him invisible in all leagues.
February 2, 2010
Martin Biron has been sent to AHL Bridgeport by the Islanders, according to Newsday.

Our View:Biron has not played since December 27 following Rick DiPietro's return to action, and was sent down on a conditioning stint.
