After missing New Jersey's first 14 games of the season with a groin injury, Patrik Elias looks to be rounding into form, according to the Bergen Record.

Our View:He is still without any points, but looks to be getting back up to regular game speed after playing in four games. The points can't be far behind for the elite center.

Our View:Since returning from September surgery on his groin, Elias has not played in back-to-back games. He played Wednesday, meaning tonight's game would normally be an off day for him, but the groin is feeling so much better that the Devils think they can get him back out on the ice for a second straight day. Coach Jacques Lemaire predicted he will play against the Pens: "He's getting better and better. I think he's fine now."

Our View:Elias, out all season with a groin injury, has been cleared by his coach to play, but the decision is ultimately up to him. He will take part in Wednesday's morning skate and will likely make a decision after that. It wouldn't surprise us if he decided to take some extra time to heal and made his debut on Friday instead, but he may sneak his way into the lineup. Stay tuned.

Our View:He reported soreness in his leg after practice on Tuesday, and said he could not push off of it the way he wanted to. He added, "no sense in rushing (back)." Consider this Friday against the Islanders the earliest you will see him in uniform.

Our View:Elias, out with a groin injury, has been skating over two weeks, but still isn't sure when he can practice with his teammates and go full speed. The team is hoping to have him back by the the projected November 4th date, but they'll likely be very careful with their star forward. If he's still available for some reason on your waiver wire, by all means, grab him.

Our View:The Devils can ill-afford to be without Elias for any significant period of time, but it sounds like he should be ready to go before missing too many games. The injury is a bit concerning, but he should still be a very solid fantasy producer this season.

Our View:Elias should be healed up and ready to roll at the start of training camp. The lingering injury bothered him at the end of last season, but the surgery should make the elite sniper 100 percent for 2009-2010. Last season he put up 31 goals and 78 points in 77 games.
