February 5, 2010 Free agent right winger Petr Sykora has season-ending abdominal surgery on Thursday, according to the Minneapolis-Star Tribune. Our View:Sykora had 46 points in 76 games for the Stanley Cup champion Penguins last season, so there is reason to believe he will be able to catch on somewhere in 2010-11. He isn't likely to have any fantasy value, though. |

January 28, 2010 According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, the Wild have released veteran forward Petr Sykora. Our View:Sykora was waived Wednesday when he refused to accept his assignment to the Wild's AHL team. He cleared waivers on Thursday and was promptly released. |
