August 27, 2009 Alexei Kovalev stated that he would like to have a chance to finish his career with the Canadiens, according to Our View:He was disappointed that he won't be staying with the Canadiens, but should be focused on helping his new team, the Senators, in 2009-10. He signed a two-year deal with Ottawa, and this may rub his teammates the wrong way that he is already thinking about his future. |

July 6, 2009 Our View:Kovalev moved on quickly from Montreal, and he will stay in Canada for at least one more year. He finished last season with 65 points, and he figures to be a fantasy threat again in 2009-2010. Now the Sens just have to figure out what to do with Dany Heatley and they will be set. |
