January 15, 2010 Teemu Selanne will miss 2-to-6 weeks of action after undergoing surgery on his broken jaw on Thursday, according to the Los Angeles Times. Our View:He has been placed on injured reserve. If he returns on the earlier side of that prognosis, he will still be able to skate with Team Finland in next month's Olympic games. Stay tuned. |

January 14, 2010 Teemu Selanne will be out indefinitely upon breaking his jaw on Wednesday after taking a puck to the face, according to ESPN.com. Our View:Lady luck in not on Selanne's side, as he was playing in just his third game back after missing the previous 17 because of a broken hand. No word yet on whether or not he'll need surgery or exactly how long he'll be out, but you can expect to be without Selanne's services for at least the next few weeks. |
