March 23, 2009 Defenseman Niklas Kronwall collected a pair of assists Monday in Detroit's 5-3 loss to Calgary at Pengrowth Saddledome. Our View:Kronwall is yet another one of Detroit's playmakers, except he does most of his damage distributing the puck to the superstar forwards. The 28-year-old Swede has five assists in his last seven games, which put him just three behind Montreal's Andrei Markov, the league-leader for defensemen. |
