November 19, 2009 The Carolina Hurricanes have placed center Eric Staal on the injured list, according to Our View:What was believed to be a minor injury has now turned into something pretty serious. We will update his status down the road, but it's not looking good for a swift return at this point. |

November 2, 2009 Updating an earlier report, it now appears that Eric Staal will likely miss a handful of games with what is being described as an upper-body injury, according to the Our View:Though it's a bit odd to suggest, perhaps a couple of days on the sideline will allow Staal the time he needs to figure out why he has been so unproductive this season with a mere five points and a (-5) rating in 13 games. The injury doesn't sound serious, so we wouldn't expect him to be sidelined for more than a handful of games. |
