August 3, 2009 Jiri Hudler has received a two-year, $5.75MM award in his arbitration hearing, but is still leaving the NHL to play in Russia with the Moscow Dynamo of the KHL, according to the Our View:He inked a two-year deal with the Dynamo worth $10MM, but his $5.75MM deal with the Red Wings would stand if he ever decides to return to the Red Wings. |

July 31, 2009 The Our View:The Wings appear to be moving on without him, as the Moscow Dynamo have registered his two-year $10 million (tax free) contract. The results of his arbitration hearing will be available by Saturday, which is when this whole situation will be put to bed. Don't expect to see him sporting the red and white next season. |

July 23, 2009 The Our View:Hudler has already signed a deal with Dynamo Moscow of the Kontinental Hockey League worth $10 million (tax free), and can leave at any time, but has decided to stick around to go through the arbitration proceedings. The KHL has also considered pulling back on the deal though, which would make Hudler a Red Wing once again. He is looking for around $4 million per season in arbitration. |
