Mike Comrie lit the lamp in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Rangers at Rexall Place.

Our View:Comrie ended a three-game skid without any points, and collected his fourth goal of the season. He provides quality depth at center for Edmonton.

October 24, 2009
According to the Edmonton Sun, Mike Comrie will not play in Saturday's game due to a bout with the flu.

Our View:Comrie just caught the bug that's going around the NHL. He should be fine in a day or two, but don't expect big fantasy numbers when he comes back, as he hasn't produced those in years.
September 27, 2009
Mike Comrie scored two goals in the Oilers 5-4 preseason, overtime win against Vancouver on Sunday. Teammate Tom Gilbert netted the overtime winner.

Our View:Comrie had a disappointing season last year split between the Senators and Islanders. He totaled just 27 points in 63 games and is a fringe fantasy player at best. Who knows though, perhaps the change of scenery in Edmonton will lead to a better season.

HendricksHockey.com is reporting that the Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Mike Comrie to a contract. Comrie scored ten goals and added 17 assists in 63 games with the Senators last season.

Our View:Comrie struggled with the Sens last season, but maybe a new environment will spark some better play. He is a fringe fantasy guy, and only deeper leagues should give him a look going into next season.
March 22, 2009
Mike Comrie scored a goal in his first game back from battling the flu and Ottawa beat the Rangers 2-1 on Sunday.

Our View:Comrie had not registered a point in five straight games. Regardless, he has scored points at a faster clip with the Sens this season than he had produced with the Islanders.
March 21, 2009

Our View:Comrie was hoping to return, but is still recovering from the flu, which will force him to miss a third straight game. He would have been facing his former team if cleared to play.

February 20, 2009
Mike Comrie has been sent to Ottawa in a deal along with Chris Campoli in exchange for Dean McAmmond and a first round pick in the 2009 draft, according to Slam Sports.

Our View:Comrie only has 20 points this season in 41 games. He never really developed into a strong scorer, with 60 points being his career high. He's a decent second line player, but he doesn't have much fantasy value.
January 31, 2009
Mike Comrie's seventh goal of the season late in the first period Saturday set the table for the Islanders' 3-1 win over Florida at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Our View:A former 30-goal scorer, Comrie has struggled this year because of complications with his surgically repaired hip and limited offensive chances with New York's 28th-ranked offense.
