July 3, 2009 According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, the Wild have signed defenseman Shane Hnidy to a one-year contract. The deal is expected to be worth $750,000. Our View:Hnidy isn't much of an offensive threat, but he is a solid, tough defenseman who should see some decent ice time. He has very little fantasy value due to his lack of scoring, so no need to give him much of a look. |

May 8, 2009 Shane Hnidy should see more ice time on the Bruins' blueline in tonight's Game 4 at Carolina with Andrew Ference out with an undisclosed injury, according to the Boston Globe. Our View:Hnidy is yet to see any action in the second-round against the Hurricanes, but notched one goal over three appearances in the first-round against Montreal. Hnidy held a +6 rating over 65 outings in the regular season. |
