Our View:Gaborik now has seven points in his last two games after being held scoreless in his previous three. That's how a big time player breaks out of a scoring slump. He now has 29 goals and 32 assists in 48 games this season.

Marian Gaborik's 27th tally represented the Rangers' lone goal in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Hurricanes on Saturday.

Our View:Gaborik has managed to stay healthy this season and it has shown in his production. In his first season in the Big Apple the electric right winger has been one of the most dominant players in the league, and now has 52 points in 39 games. His 27 goals are one better than Alex Ovechkin's total, giving him the league lead.
