Newsbreakers
February 3, 2010
Chris Mason held off a powerful Blackhawks offense on Wednesday, tuning aside 32-of-34 shots in the Blues 3-2 win.

Our View:Mason was acrobatic and stopped a flurry of Chicago odd-man rushes. In his last four games he hasn't lost in regulation and Wednesday's victory bumped him to 17-15-8 on the season.
January 28, 2010
Chris Mason turned away 24 of the 25 shots he faced on Thursday en route to a 2-1 win over the Oilers.

Our View:Mason snapped a three-game losing streak with Thursday's performance and now has his record over .500 for the season. He's 16-15-7 on the year and had his best game since January 16th, a 4-1 win over the Rangers.
January 18, 2010
Chris Mason only stopped 26-of-30 shots in tonight's 4-2 loss at Columbus.

Our View:Mason fell off track after earning a win in each of his previous four starts. He should bounce back fine for fantasy owners though.
January 16, 2010
Chris Mason rejected 21-of-22 shots in tonight's 4-1 win over the Rangers at the Scottrade Center.

Our View:Mason is playing great right now, as he collected a win in four straight starts, and allowed one or less goals three times over the span.
January 14, 2010
Chris Mason earned his first shutout of the season Thursday, stopping all 19 shots he faced in a 1-0 win over the Wild.

Our View:Mason didn't have to do much in this one, but he stepped up when he needed to. The Blues are finally winning at home and he has a lot to do with it, rattling off three straight victories and allowing just four goals over that stretch.
January 12, 2010
Chris Mason turned away 26-of-27 shots on Tuesday en route to a 4-1 win over the Blue Jackets.

Our View:Mason was sharp as the Blues earned a rare win at home this season. St. Louis' top netminder has now won two straight and appears to be pulling out of a mid-season cold spell that saw his GAA escalate and his save percentage plummet. Tuesday's performance evened his record at 13-13-6 on the year.
January 7, 2010
Chris Mason stopped an impressive 42-of-44 shots on Wednesday, but was victimized by Dany Heatley in overtime and the Blues fell 2-1.

Our View:Mason had a phenomenal game, but was victimized by tough penalties and bad breaks. It's unfortunate too as he looked to be in line for his first win in four games. Wednesday's effort was a nice bounce back, as he had allowed four goals in each of his last three contests.
