Bobby Engram has been released by the Kansas City Chiefs, according to ProFootballTalk.com. The Chiefs needed a roster spot for the newly activated Kolby Smith.

Our View:Engram only had five catches as a member of the Chiefs, so this move comes as no surprise. His career could very well be over after this setback, but his time as a fantasy receiver has been finished for a long time.

NFL columnist Bob Glauber is reporting on Twitter that the Kansas City Chiefs have activated running back Kolby Smith off the PUP list. Smith is expected to see a good deal of playing time when the Chiefs battle the Jaguars on Sunday.

Our View:Smith could make things interesting in the fantasy world, as it looks like Larry Johnson might be done as the featured back in KC. If Jamaal Charles can't get the job done, Smith could have some potential as a fantasy sleeper.

Jon McGraw is doubtful for Sunday's game at Jacksonville, according to the Chiefs' official website.

Our View:McGraw missed practice today due to his thigh injury, and DaJuan Morgan is expected to replace him at free safety.
