Panthers inactives: QB A.J. Feeley, OG Duke Robinson, OT Garry Williams, LB Hilee Taylor, RB Mike Goodson, DL Nick Hayden, RB Tyrell Sutton.

Our View:Rookie running back Mike Goodson has some upside, but has seen little action so far this season, and his absence will not impact fantasy owners. The other inactives are backups as well.

According to the Rock Hill Herald, running back Mike Goodson returned to practice on Wednesday after missing time with a concussion.

Our View:Kenny Moore has been handling the kick return duties in Goodson's absence and it's uncertain whether the rookie win his old job back.

Week 5 inactives: QB A.J. Feeley (3rd), RB Tyrell Sutton, DB C.J. Wilson, RB Mike Goodson, OT Garry Williams, OG Duke Robinson, DT Antwon Burton, DE Hilee Taylor.

Our View:RB Jonathan Stewart (achilles) is active and will share carries with starter DeAngelo Williams. On defense, SS Chris Harris (knee) is active and will start.

Still feeling the effects of a Week 3 concussion, Mike Goodson did not practice on Wednesday, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Our View:Panther running backs are always worth keeping an eye on, but with Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams both currently healthy, Goodson is someone who can remain off your radar for the time being.

According to the Charlotte Observer, Mike Goodson is the most likely choice to return kicks for the Panthers this season.

Our View:Goodson has also been the team's leading rusher this preseason, and with Jonathan Stewart dealing with a mysterious Achilles' tendon injury, he could be worth a late-round flier in deeper leagues because of the Panthers' propensity to run.

The Associated Press reports that runningback Mike Goodson was fined $7,500 by the NFL for an offensive celebration after scoring a touchdown in Monday's preseason game.

Our View:Goodson made a throat-slashing gesture after getting in the end zone on Monday. In addition to the fine he was slapped with a 15-yard taunting penalty during the game. Will these runningbacks ever learn?
August 17, 2009
Mike Goodson led the Panthers in Monday's 24-17 preseason loss to the Giants, as he had six carries for 43 yards and a touchdown, with a long of 16. He also caught two passes for 16 receiving yards.

Our View:Goodson has great speed, and looks to have a handle on the No. 3 role at running back in Carolina. He could push for playing time down the road, but his fantasy value looks to be limited as a rookie.
June 26, 2009
The Panthers have signed 2009 fourth round pick Mike Goodson, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Our View:Goodson has apparently been impressing Panthers brass this offseason, but won't get nearly enough carries behind DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart to have any fantasy value in 2009. If he has fantasy impact, it will be in future seasons.
June 7, 2009
Rookie running back Mike Goodson has been impressing the Panthers' staff in team OTA's, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Our View:This is encouraging, but Goodson's fantasy value will be limited as a rookie while fighting for playing time behind DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart on the depth chart. He should only be targeted as a long-term flier for keeper leagues.

Rookie running back Mike Goodson (Texas A&M) could see time at wide receiver, according to FOX Sports.

Our View:Goodson does not figure to see much action at running back as long as DeAngelo Williams and Jon Stewart stay healthy. Goodson has great speed with good hands and can adjust to poor throws. He lacks the durability to hold up at running back as well due to a thin frame, but could potentially etch out a nice role for himself as a slot receiver.
April 26, 2009
The Carolina Panthers selected Texas A&M running back Mike Goodson in the fourth round with the 111th overall pick in the 2009 NFL draft.

Our View:Goodson is an intiguing prospect who has good speed and cutting ability, as well as the soft hands to make an impact in the passing game. However, he's stuck behind DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart, which leaves him on the oustide looking in.
April 9, 2009
Former Texas A&M running back Mike Goodson is scheduled to meet with the 49ers on Friday, according to the Santa Rosa Press-Democrat.

Our View:The Niners are expected to draft a running back to complement Frank Gore somewhere in the later rounds. Goodson rushed for just 406 yards as a junior last season, but he is a speedster with good hands out of the backfield, two elements that would provide an intriguing balance with Gore.
