February 8, 2010 Fresh off his game-winning overtime field goal in the NFC championship to advance the Saints to the Super Bowl, Garrett Hartley became the first kicker ever to make three 40-plus-yard field goals in a Super Bowl game. January 24, 2010 Garrett Hartley drilled a 40-yard field goal in overtime to give the Saints their first NFC Championship. It was his only field goal attempt in the game. Our View:Hartley did not kick for the Saints until Week 13 against the Redskins. Since then, he has hit 11-of-13 attempts, including a long of 43. The Saints hope he maintains his accuracy for the Super Bowl in Miami. |
