Eddie Royal had 11 catches for 76 yards in Week 17.

Our View:The rookie got most of the work, while teammate Brandon Marshall was held quiet for the most part. Royal finishes the season with 91 catches and just fewer than 1,000 yards receiving, but he was overshadowed by several other rookies, including Matt Ryan and Matt Forte.

Eddie Royal will be chasing a team milestone Sunday at San Diego as he is only 96 receiving yards away from being the first member of the Broncos to reach 1,000 yards in his rookie season, according to the Rocky Mountain News. Royal commented, "It'd be great but I just want to win. I have a few individual goals but most of my goals are team goals. And the first one is to make the playoffs."

Our View:Royal is already the franchise rookie leader in receptions (80) and touchdown catches (5). He will have a favorable match-up to set the yardage record against the Chargers' 31st ranked pass defense.

Eddie Royal had five catches for 57 yards in Sunday's loss to the Bills. However, he did pick up 71 yards on one carry.

Our View:Royal was held out of the end zone again. He needs 96 yards next week against San Diego to get 1,000 yards this season.

Eddie Royal has 75 receptions for 847 yards and five touchdowns this season, but he appears to physically be wearing down, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:The report hints that the majority of his struggles have come in the return game where his totals have nose-dived (three punt returns for zero yards the past six weeks). Given that he needs 153 receiving yards for 1,000 on the year, we would expect him to call on his reserves to get there as the Broncos attempt to win the AFC West.
