Matt Forte lugged the rock 26 times for 90 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 8 victory over Cleveland.

Our View:The 26 carries represented his most of the season, and Forte also chipped in two receptions for 31 yards. The performance should give the second-year veteran some momentum for the Week 9 meeting against Arizona, who field one of the tougher run defenses in the NFL.

Matt Forte received just six carries on Sunday, gaining 24 yards. He was able to top that in the air with 25 yards off four receptions.

Our View:To Forte's credit, he didn't have much of a chance to get anything going with the Bears in an early hole against the Bengals. Still, while Forte's PPR numbers haven't been as bad, his overall numbers have been incredibly disappointing. Luckily, the Bears face Cleveland next week, and their defense should allow Forte to get back on track.

Matt Forte was seen sporting a wrap on his right hand after Chicago's disheartening Sunday night loss to the Falcons, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Our View:The injury is not expected to affect his Week 7 status. Forte had a disastrous game, rushing for just 23 yards on 15 carries, in addition to coughing two critical fumbles at the Falcons' one-yard line in the third quarter (he lost the second one). With just 294 rushing yards through five games, maybe he'll be out this weekend and give you an excuse to kick the tires on somebody else.

Matt Forte rushed 15 times for just 23 yards and caught five passes for 37 yards in the Bears 21-14 loss to the Falcons on Sunday night.

Our View:Forte averaged just 1.5 yards per carry and his long on the day was a modest five yards. He also had two fumbles (one he recovered on his own) and a couple of dropped screen passes. This was not the effort that owners were expecting from Forte, nor is he off to a start that warranted his first round selection in drafts this year. He'll try to improve against the Bengals next week.

Matt Forte broke out in Sunday's 48-24 win over the rival Lions at Soldier Field, as he rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown on just 12 carries. He also caught two passes for 19 receiving yards.

Our View:Forte finally had a big game, and did so while dealing with a knee ailment. He reached paydirt for the first time in 2009.
