The Titans have hired Kennedy Pola as their new running backs coach, according to their official team twitter page.

Our View:He replaces Earnest Byner, after Byner helped lead Chris Johnson to an NFL-leading 2,006 rushing yards in 2009. The 46-year-old Pola was most recently the running backs coach of the Jaguars, and he also worked for the Browns in 2004.

The Nashville Tennessean reports that the Titans would like 2009 2,000-yard rusher Chris Johnson to have fewer carries in 2010. Johnson took the ball an NFL-high 358 times this season.

Our View:The Titans say this now, but if Johnson gets off to the kind of start in 2010 that he did in 2009, expect him to remain in the top three in the league in carries. Of course, if Vince Young continues his maturation next year, Johnson will not have to carry such a load.

The Associated Press' All-Pro team was announced today and Offensive Player of the Year Chris Johnson was the only unanimous choice, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:Johnson received all 50 votes to the team, while Patrick Willis was just one off with 49, followed by Charles Woodson, Darrelle Revis and Shane Lechler with 48. The Vikings had the most All-Pros of any team with four (Adrian Peterson, Kevin Williams, Steve Hutchinson and Jared Allen), followed by the Colts with three (Peyton Manning, Dallas Clark and Dwight Freeney). The New York Giants, Washington, Atlanta, Carolina, Tampa Bay, Chicago, Detroit, Seattle, St. Louis, Miami, Buffalo, Jacksonville, Cincinnati, Kansas City and Pittsburgh had no All-Pros this season.

The Associated Press has named Chris Johnson the 2009 NFL Offensive Player of the Year, according to ESPN.com.

Our View:The second-year lightning-quick back received 38.5 of the 50 votes, with Drew Brees coming in second with nine. Johnson, who finished with 2,006 rushing yards, was just the sixth back to eclipse 2,000 yards in a season, and with 503 receiving yards became the first back ever to gain 2,000 yards on the ground and 500 yards off receptions. He'll be the consensus No. 1 pick heading into fantasy drafts next season.

Chris Johnson did not score a single vote for NFL MVP, despite leading the league with 2,006 rushing yards, according to NBC Sports.

Our View:He also racked up 503 receiving yards and scored 16 total touchdowns, but likely did not get any respect from voters, as the Titans failed to make the playoffs with a disappointing 8-8 mark.

Representatives for recent 2,000 yard rusher Chris Johnson are working on setting up a race between the Tennessee running back and the world's fastest man, Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, according to ESPN.

Our View:If Ted Ginn won't race you, then why not Usain Bolt? The race, which Johnson wants to be for 60 meters or less (Bolt is known as a slow starter, while Johnson's specialty is burst), would be for charity. Stay tuned.

Chris Johnson finished his record-setting season in fine fashion on Sunday, rushing 36 times for 134 yards and two TDs in a 17-13 win over Seattle.

Our View:Johnson ended up with 14 rushing touchdowns and a pair of receiving scores in addition to breaking Marshall Faulk's single-season scrimmage yards record and becoming the sixth running back in NFL history with a 2,000 yard season. The number-one overall fantasy football performer totaled 2,509 yards from scrimmage and 2,006 rushing yards.

Earlier we reported that Chris Johnson had broken Marshall Faulk's single-season scrimmage yards record, and now he has joined the 2,000-yard club at the 9:37 mark of the fourth quarter in the game at Seattle.

Our View:With 7:51 left in the fourth quarter, Johnson has compiled 132 yards on 33 carries, giving him 2,004 yards on the season. It appears he was spot on when he nicknamed himself "Every Coach's Dream" prior to the start of the 2009 campaign.

Chris Johnson has set the NFL record for yards from scrimmage in a season, the first of multiple milestones within his reach in the Tennessee Titans' season finale, according to ESPN.com.

Our View:The second-year running back caught a pass in the flat for a 9-yard gain in the second quarter Sunday at Seattle to break Marshall Faulk's 1999 record for scrimmage yards in a season. The play gave Johnson 2,254 yards from scrimmage. Johnson is also closing in on joining Eric Dickerson, Jamal Lewis, Barry Sanders, Terrell Davis and O.J. Simpson as the only NFL runners to reach 2,000 yards in a season. Stay tuned.
