Quarterback Joe Flacco's salary for next season will increase from $385,000 to $1.5 million, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Our View:Because the rookie Flacco participated in more than 80 percent of the team's snaps last season, he will receive an additional $750,000 for each of the next four seasons.

Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco will win the Diet Pepsi Rookie of the Year award, reports Scout.com.

Our View:Nominated along with Flacco were Matt Ryan, Chris Johnson, Matt Forte, and Steve Slaton.

Joe Flacco had a terrible outing in the AFC Championship game as he was picked off three times while completing only 13 of 30 passes as the Ravens fell to the Steelers 23-14.

Our View:Flacco didn't toss a single score while throwing for just 141 yards as the rookie looked like, well, a rookie. Flacco proved a lot this year, but he still has a ways to go in his NFL development, and even further to go to become a fantasy relevant option.

Joe Flacco played well again on Saturday in leading his Ravens to the AFC championship with a 13-10 win over the Titans. He went 11-of-22 for 161 yards and a touchdown. He also had five rushing yards on five carries.

Our View:Flacco hasn't thrown a pick in four straight contests now and is allowing the Ravens' fantastic defense to do most of the work. It worked for Trent Dilfer in 2000.

Joe Flacco's first playoff game won't get him on the highlight reel much, but that's just what the Ravens needed. Even though he only completed 9-of-23 passes for 135 yards, he didn't make any crucial mistakes as he committed zero turnovers. Flacco also ran for eight yards and a touchdown on five carries.

Our View:In winning, Flacco became the first rookie quarterback in league history to win a playoff game on the road.
