October 19, 2009 The Kansas City Chiefs' official website is reporting that the team has traded defensive tackle Tank Tyler to the Carolina Panthers. The Chiefs will get an undisclosed draft pick in 2010 in return. Our View:Tyler had 22 tackles for the Chiefs this season, and he failed to get a sack before the trade. The Panthers are desperate for bodies in the middle after being hammered by injury, so Tyler will likely see playing time quickly. His IDP valueis still relatively low, however. |

June 29, 2009 Tank Tyler is projected to start at nose tackle in the Chiefs' new 3-4 defense, according to the Kansas City Star. Our View:Tyler only racked up 41 tackles (29 solo) and no sacks in 2008, and his fantasy outlook does not look good for 2009 while working at nose tackle. |
