November 2, 2009 Pierre Thomas ran for 91 yards on 14 carries on Monday in the Saints' 35-27 win over the Falcons. Thomas scored once on the ground and also added a touchdown on one of his two receptions. Our View:The Thomas-Bell conundrum continues to trouble fantasy owners, as Thomas ran for 42 more yards despite three less carries. Both players' values are going to be limited while sharing carries, but Thomas still looks like the better option because of his red zone capabilities. |

October 25, 2009 Pierre Thomas gained just 30 yards off eight carries on Sunday, compared to Mike Bell's 80 off of 12. Our View:Bell has been the bane of Thomas' fantasy owners' existence, and it doesn't look like he'll be fazed out anytime soon. Bell also received New Orleans' goal-line carries, and Thomas owners had to be happy that Bell didn't convert. Still, this situation looks to be in full-blown platoon mode, with Reggie Bush remaining in the mix as well, so temper your expectations for Thomas going forward. |

October 18, 2009 Pierre Thomas looked good in Sunday's 48-27 win over the Giants at the Superdome, as he racked up 72 rushing yards on 15 carries, with a long of 25. Mike Bell also had 15 carries for 34 yards and a touchdown. Our View:Thomas proved he is capable of being a solid fantasy running back, if the Saints will just feature him and give him a larger workload. Bell's two-yard touchdown had to be frustrating for fantasy owners of Thomas. |

October 15, 2009 According to Jeff Duncan on Our View:Thomas is dealing with a hamstring injury, but is still expected to play on Sunday. He has yet to practice in full this week, but Friday could be the day. If it isn't his workload would likely be limited and he'd cede carries to Mike Bell. |

October 7, 2009 Pierre Thomas will attempt to play without a knee brace for this time this season when the Saints return from their bye week in Week 6 , according to the Our View:He has rushed for 212 yards the past two weeks while wearing the brace, which he said has bothered him, so who knows how productive he could be without one. The Saints will be playing the Giants and their stout run defense, however, so it's anybody's guess how many yards he will go for. |
