Newsbreakers
January 29, 2010
DeSean Jackson's agent Drew Rosenhaus plans to approach the Eagles in the near future to discuss a four- or five-year contract extension, according to CSN Philly.

Our View:It's taken Jackson just two seasons to morph into one of the most dangerous game-breakers in the league, and it'd probably make sense for the Eagles to lock him up long term.

DeSean Jackson (groin) practiced in full on Thursday, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View:Jackson is healthy, and ready to prove his two poor performances against Dallas this season were a fluke. For the Eagles' sake, that needs to be the case.

DeSean Jackson (groin) was practicing and "looking fine" on Wednesday, according to Adam Caplan of Scout.com.

Our View:He will play on Saturday. Now he just needs to figure out a way to solve the Cowboys, who shut him down in both of their meetings this season.

DeSean Jackson received treatment for his strained groin today, according to Philadelphia beat reporter Brian Seltzer's twitter page.

Our View:The rising star noted that he is sore, and did not comment on his role for tomorrow's practice. The Eagles will battle the rival Cowboys in the opening round of the playoffs this weekend.

DeSean Jackson believes the Eagles will beat the Cowboys in their Wild Card playoff match-up next weekend in Dallas, according to Pro Football Talk.

Our View:He says the Birds are going to "sting" a certain part of the Dallas players' bodies. Despite his huge overall season, Jackson was held in major check by the Cowboys during their two meetings, reeling in just five balls for 76 yards and zero touchdowns. If Philly is indeed going to "sting" the 'Boys, Jackson will have to do much better than that.
January 4, 2010
DeSean Jackson "tweaked" his groin in Philadelphia's shutout loss to the Cowboys on Sunday, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

Our View:He is "feeling alright," however, and will certainly play when the two teams square off again next Saturday night in Dallas.
January 1, 2010
The Cowboys plan on double covering DeSean Jackson the whole game when they take on the Eagles on Sunday, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

Our View:The Cowboys held Jackson to just two catches and 29 yards in Week 9, one of his worst games of the season. That doesn't seem like the kind of lightning that will be able to strike twice, however. Jackson has found the end-zone in five straight games.
