According to azcardinals.com, the team is expected to make wide receiver Steve Breaston a first-round tender offer sometime in the next few days.

Our View:If this situation comes to fruition, Breaston would stand to make $2.946 million in 2010 and could earn a starting role next season. The Cards had to offer him a first-round tender to avoid him getting swept up by another organization. He's a talented receiver, but his fantasy stock will drop a bit now that Matt Leinart is under center instead of Kurt Warner.

Filling in for Anquan Boldin as the Cardinals number two receiver, Steve Breaston caught seven passes for 125 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Wild Card win over Green Bay.

Our View:Breaston hooked up with Kurt Warner for the last of the QB's five scores. His 17-yard grab gave the Cards a seven point lead in the fourth quarter that the defense eventually coughed up. He also pulled off an end-around rush for 28 yards. This performance likely opened a lot of eyes, so expect Breaston to be very involved in the offense as long as Boldin is out.

Steve Breaston will start against the Packers this weekend if Anquan Boldin is unable to go, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:Right now, that's looking like it has a pretty good chance of being the case. Even if Boldin does play, he will likely be very limited, lining up Breaston for a nice day regardless.
