Miles Austin will miss 2-4 weeks with a sprained LCL, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View:Austin hasn't had a whole lot of fantasy value this season and it is safe to drop him at this point.

With Felix Jones out, the Dallas Morning News reports that wideout Miles Austin will become the team's primary kick returner.

Our View:Austin figures to play less of a role in the team's passing game with the arrival of Roy Williams. His value has dropped since the acquisition.
September 21, 2008
Miles Austin had 115 yards and a touchdown on two catches on Sunday night in Green Bay. It was the third-year receiver's first touchdown of his career.

Our View:Breakout? Not so fast. Keep an eye on Austin to see if he becomes more involved in the Cowboys' productive offense. At this point though, one week is not enough evidence for him to warrant any pick ups.
September 13, 2008
Of the three Cowboys players that were limited in practice Friday, Miles Austin is the closest to being ready to play, according to the Dallas Morning News. Austin missed last week's game with a sprained left MCL. "It's getting better every day," Austin said. "Hopefully, we'll see what happens [today] and the next day."

Our View:Austin is expected to be a game-time decision.

Miles Austin stated he could play wearing a brace on his ailing right knee, according to the Star-Telegram.

Our View:He feels better but wouldn't say he will actually play against the Eagles on Monday night. He will be a game-time decision.
September 10, 2008
For the first time since spraining his knee on August 16th, Miles Austin was back on the practice field Wednesday. Austin was wearing a large knee brace but was cutting and running with no apparent problems, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View:Contrary to early reports, Austin might be able to play this week. That would be a huge boost for the Cowboys receiving corp.
September 8, 2008
Miles Austin, who was inactive for Week 1 while recovering from a sprained MCL, is slated to practice this week, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View:Austin could practice and there is a chance he may be able to play, after it was previously believed he would miss a few more games.
September 7, 2008
Wide receiver Miles Austin is inactive this week due to a sprained MCL.

Our View:Austin will likely miss the first four games of the season, while rehabbing the injury. Given that Sam Hurd is also on the inactive list, wide receiver Isaiah Stanback will man the slot this afternoon against Cleveland

August 19, 2008

August 17, 2008
Miles Austin has sustained a sprained MCL in his knee, according to DallasCowboys.com.

Our View:Austin will undergo an MRI on the knee Sunday, but Cowboys owner Jerry Jones doesn't expect Austin to play in the final two preseason games. Jones said the injury would not require surgery and he is optimistic it would not linger much into the regular season. He had the inside track on the No. 3 receiver role over Sam Hurd, but he could now fall behind in the race due to the injury. He has been playing the best football of his career prior to getting hurt.
June 30, 2008
Miles Austin could see increased playing time, as he has impressed the Cowboys brass during offseason workouts, reports Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:Austin has all of five catches in his career, but with the Terry Glenn situation still unresolved, the wide receiver position is still up in the air in Dallas. The situation bears keeping an eye on through training camp.
