February 2, 2010 Texans head coach Gary Kubiak told the Score 1510 on Tuesday that Steve Slaton's neck injury required surgery. He underwent a procedure two weeks ago. Our View:The team has not yet provided a timetable for his recovery. After a fumble-plagued sophomore season in 2009, Slaton is not expected to be in the running to be Houston's feature back next year. |

January 1, 2010 Dale Robertson of the Houston Chronicle believes the Texans will draft another running back in 2010. Our View:Steve Slaton has fallen out of favor this season due to his fumbling issues and 3.1 yards per carry. Arian Foster is still too unproven to be given lead-back duties in 2010, as well. |
