According to Nick Scurfield on Twitter, Steve Slaton has been named the Texans starting running back for Week 11.

Our View:So it appears that Slaton got his job back before he ended up having to prove himself. He'll still likely split carries with Ryan Moats and Chris Brown, but it looks as if he has the most upside this week. Still, Moats isn't a bad handcuff play because if Slaton fumbles again, you can bet he'll be sitting the rest of the game.

Steve Slaton spent this week studying how Tiki Barber changed the way he held the football to correct his fumbling problems, according to Adam Schefter's twitter page.

Our View:Slaton has fumbled seven times this season (losing five), and has been demoted to backup behind Ryan Moats for today's game at Indianapolis. Barber corrected his fumbling issues under Tom Coughlin, so hopefully Slaton can follow suit and rectify his ball security issues.

At least for Week 9, Steve Slaton has lost his starting running back job to Ryan Moats, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Our View:Technically, they will "share" carries, but it would be surprising to no one if Moats gets a lion's share of the touches. Moats is now an essential hand-cuff is you are a Slaton owner, and that situation could soon be reversed.

According to Nick Scurfield on Twitter, Steve Slaton will be part of a running back by committee approach to Sunday's game against the Colts.

Our View:Coach Gary Kubiak plans to use "all three" of his backs and intends to "work them all" during the game. So Slaton, Ryan Moats and Chris Brown will all see playing time, but how much is up in the air. Moats figures to be the feature back after his huge performance on Sunday, with Brown getting short yardage plays and Slaton factoring in more on the receiving end. But Slaton should get some carries as well. If he can actually hang onto the ball this week he just may earn his job back.

Texans coach Gary Kubiak has not said yet whether or not Steve Slaton's Week 8 benching is a permanent thing, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Our View:With Ryan Moats rushing 23 times for 126 yards and three touchdowns, and more importantly, not fumbling in his absence, it sure isn't looking good for Slaton. Consider Moats an essential hand-cuff if you are a Slaton owner.
