According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Packers' defensive end Johnny Jolly is expected to miss a week due to an ankle injury suffered on Sunday night. Jolly wore a protective boot on his ankle on Monday.

Our View:Jolly is talented, but after his legal issues were brought to light during the offseason, he is not in great standing with the team. The injury will not help his cause, but if he only misses a week he should be fine.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette is reporting that the charges against Packers' defensive end Johnny Jolly for drug possession has been dropped. The Houston police plan to refile the charges against Jolly again in the next few months.

Our View:The police department cited new equipment as the reasoning behind dropping the charges for now, as their staff needs to learn how to use the equipment so they are able to testify at the trial. This situation is far from over, and Jolly is not even close to being out of the woods yet.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel is reporting that Packers' defensive end Johnny Jolly had been told by the team repeatedly that he needed to stay out of trouble while back in his hometown of Houston. Jolly was arrested on July 8 for felony posession of a controlled substance.

Our View:The Packers have feared Jolly would fall back in with some of his old friends when he went back to Houston, and it looks like the team was right. The team is not happy, and it will be interesting to see how they handle this situation. Don't be shocked if Jolly is forced to look for new employment next year.

Johnny Jolly is in danger of suspension and prison time should he be found guilty in his upcoming trial for illegal possession of codeine, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Our View:His trial has been pushed back to July 17. If convicted, he faces up to a minimum of two years in prison. Jolly played in all 16 games for the Packers last season, but is not an impact fantasy player.

Johnny Jolly's drug possession trial has been postponed, according to the Green Bay Press Gazette.

Our View:Jolly initially was to stand trial on Friday, but the proceedings were rescheduled for Monday. Instead, the trial was moved to June 26, which is the day after the conclusion of the Packers' mandatory minicamp.
