According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, cornerback Antonio Cromartie has improved significantly in the last three games after having a miserable start to the season.

Our View:Cromartie was burned on 11 of the first 15 passes he was targeted on in the opening four games of the season. In his last three he's been targeted 12 times and has only allowed four receptions. Looks like he's back to his Pro Bowl-caliber play.

Antonio Cromartie is questionable for Sunday against the Chiefs after injuring his knee in practice on Thursday, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Our View:It's not a bad week for the Chargers to be potentially missing their starting right cornerback, though the Chiefs have been competitive the past two weeks. Expect San Diego to do everything it can to get him into the lineup.

Antonio Cromartie injured his knee during practice, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Our View:An MRI revealed no tears in his knee, and he just has a minor bruise. His status for Week 7 at Kansas City is yet to be determined though.

According to the North County Times, Chargers' cornerback Antonio Cromartie is in trouble with the team again. The Chargers are reportedly angry that Cromartie posted pictures on his Twitter page of notes he was taking while in a team meeting.

Our View:It might be a good idea for Cromartie to stop using Twitter, because this is the second time this season that he has gotten in trouble with it. The Chargers have high expectations for this season, but they need to avoid distractions like these if they are going to be successful.

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, Antonio Cromartie is trying to reinvent himself in 2009, after a disastrous campaign last year.

Our View:The 2007 Probowler is trying to erase last year's injuries and off-field issues with a rigorous work out program. He suffered through a fracture hip in Week 1 last season and states that his return to football was affected by five paternity suits. Cromartie is unmarried and currently has seven children in five states. He blames much of his down year on the fact that his head wasn't in the game due to his parental circus. Expect a rebound in 2009 from a healthy and determined cornerback.

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that Chargers' cornerback Antonio Cromartie considered sitting out the entire 2008 season after suffering a fractured hip in Week 1. Cromartie had only 2 interceptions last season after picking off 10 in 2007.

Our View:The fractured hip seems to be the biggest reason why his production fell off so much last season. He should still be considered one of the better corners in the league, and expect him to be much better in 2009 than 2008.
March 3, 2009
San Diego general manager A.J. Smith Tuesday dismissed rumors that the team would be willing to deal cornerback Antonio Cromartie if it could sign Drayton Florence, according to ESPN.com.

Our View:Smith said that Cromartie will not be traded under any circumstances.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that the Chargers would be willing to put cornerback Antonio Cromartie on the trade block if they are able to sign Drayton Florence. Cromartie replaced Florence as a starter in 2007 and Florence later signed with the Jaguars. The Jags cut him last month.

Our View:Two seasons ago, Cromartie was among the very best at his position. He fell far from that perch in 2008, but it was revealed after the season that he had played with a fractured hip in many games.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that Chargers cornerback Antonio Cromartie played much of the season with a fractured hip.

Our View:Cromartie took a stunning fall from one of the top corners in the league to one of the worst in one season, and this at least partially explains the drop-off. He can't go anywhere but up next season, and with health he'll likely get back to his ball-hawking ways.
