Updating a previous item, the Titans said on Tuesday that they have no interest in signing free agent wide receiver Marvin Harrison, according to the Nashville Tennessean.

Our View:The paper says Titans coach Jeff Fisher has been adamant that he and the team do not have interest in him, and that there is almost no chance the rumor will gain traction. It sounds like Harrison could end up being the latest future Hall-of-Famer unceremoniously disregarded.

With Nate Washington going down with an injury, the Titans could be intensifying their pursuit of free agent receiver Marvin Harrison, according to Pro Football Talk.

Our View:It's purely speculation at this point, but the Titans are woefully thin on proven, productive receivers, and Harrison could provide a boost to Tennessee's passing game, even though he turns 37 today. Look for this to gain traction.

The Buffalo News is reporting that the Tennessee Titans have no interest in free agent receiver Marvin Harrison. Coach Jeff Fisher told the media on Wednesday that the team has had no contact with Harrison or his agent.

Our View:The Titans have been named as a team who has interest in Harrison, but Fisher has refuted those reports. The Titans would appear to be a good fit, but apparently Tennessee is not going to be his destination.

Former Colts coach Tony Dungy advised the Chicago Bears to sign his former player Marvin Harrison on Wednesday, according to ESPN Chicago.

Our View:Harrison has had an offseason fraught with murky legal issues, and has played just 20 games the past two seasons. Still, it's hard to believe one of the most sure-handed receivers in NFL history can't catch anymore, and he could provide a huge veteran boost for a lot of teams, especially the Bears.

The Titans contacted Marvin Harrison, but are not interested in signing the 36-year-old vet right now, according to the Tennessean.

Our View:The Titans are currently focusing on getting prized rookie Kenny Britt up to speed for the season, and are content with Justin Gage and Nate Washington as their projected starters. Harrison could become an option down the road however, if the club suffers an injury and he remains available.
