Vikings fans in Minnesota will be able to watch their game on television, as it sold out before the 3:30 (central time zone) deadline, according to ESPN.com.

Adrian Peterson has won the 50th annual Bert Bell award as football player of the year, according to the Pioneer Press. Peterson said, "It's an honor to be listed among such great players from past years and humbling at the same time. I thank the Maxwell Club and the people who voted for me, but I really want to thank the big boys up front and the receivers out wide fighting for every block. I'm lucky to be surrounded by a group of guys who are the best teammates in the league." Bert Bell is a former NFL Commissioner.

Our View:Peterson earned the honor by leading the NFL with 1,760 rushing yards, while the Vikings won the NFC North division title. The last member of the Vikings to win the Bert Bell award was quarterback Randall Cunningham in 1998.

The Minnesota Vikings playoff game may yet be on TV, as they could possibly receive another extension - this one until Saturday - to sell their remaining playoff tickets and not have the game blacked out, reports Scout.com.

Our View:The same thing happened in Arizona, as the team was given a further extension to sell out, though there is no word yet if it had. Minnesota was supposed to have the game sold out by 3:30 on Friday.
