Josh Cribbs feels that his "flash" is back and intends to make an impact following his recovery from a high ankle sprain, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. He said, "I feel at full stride now. No excuses for myself. Don't give me any, either. I laid around so I can have a whole lot of energy going into the next game. I'm ready to practice right now. I've just got a lot of energy stored up in me."

Our View:Cribbs looked to be healthy again in his last game against Cincinnati as he returned a second-half kickoff 44 yards, which was his longest gain of the season. He will provide a spark on special teams against the Giants this weekend, but could also be involved in the offense a bit more as well, adding another vertical threat to complement stud Brayon Edwards.

The Cleveland Plain-Dealer reports that return man Josh Cribbs will play on Sunday against the Ravens. He had been nursing a sore hamstring since last week's game.

Our View:It's difficult to start anybody against the Ravens' defense and we wouldn't recommend Cribbs.

Josh Cribbs is set to practice today, according to the Browns' official website. He sat out Wednesday's practice while nursing his ailing shoulder and hamstring.

Our View:He is making progress, but his status for Week 3 against Baltimore is yet to be determined. The Ravens remain solid defensively and the Browns are hoping the special teams star can play to set up favorable field position to begin their drives.

Josh Cribbs is sitting out today's practice due to his ailing shoulder and hamstring, according to the Browns' official website. He is also dealing with a sprained ankle.

Our View:The Browns' special teams unit will take a significant hit if the return ace is unable to play this weekend at Baltimore, and the Browns' offense would likely start drives with less favorable field position.

It was another good day on Thursday for Josh Cribbs, who is been out since August 18th with a high ankle sprain. Cribbs practiced for the second straight day and looks close to returning, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View:If Cribbs is able to go this week he will be put right back into his normal role of kick returner. If you league awards points for return man, Cribbs will be a very good option.
September 11, 2008
Josh Cribbs, who is recovering from an ankle ailment, returned to practice Wednesday, according to the Dayton Daily News.

Our View:If he can practice today, he should be cleared to play Sunday against the rival Steelers. He holds fantasy value in leagues that award scoring for return men. Cribbs memorably returned a kickoff 100 yards for a score against Pittsburgh last season.

As expected, Josh Cribbs (ankle) is inactive for the season opener, the team's official web site notes. Syndric Steptoe will handle the kick and punt returns.

Our View:Cribbs is the lone reason to use the Browns defense/special teams, and hopefully you did not start them.

Suffering from an ankle sprain, there remains a possibility that Browns return man Josh Cribbs could miss the team's Week 1 contest, according to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer.

Our View:This is certainly bad news for the Browns, as Cribbs is the second most dangerous return man in the league behind Devin Hester. However, his injury does not affect fantasy owners that much, as no one should have taken the Browns D/ST unit in drafts.
August 19, 2008
Wide receiver/return man Josh Cribbs has been diagnosed with a high left ankle sprain, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Cribbs may be out until the Browns open the season on September 7.

Our View:The outstanding return man doesn't have a huge role in the offense, so this shouldn't affect fantasy rankings.
August 19, 2008
Josh Cribbs underwent an MRI on his left ankle on Tuesday, and the results are not yet known, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Our View:Cribbs is the lone reason why fantasy teams might consider employing the Browns defense/special teams. He is arguably the most dynamic return man outside of Chicago.

Special teams ace Josh Cribbs wants a new contract despite signing one before the beginning of last season, reports ESPN.com. He may want money comparable to that of Bears returner Devin Hester.

Our View:Hester gets more pub, but Cribbs has held his own in the return game. Last season he returned one punt and two kicks for scores. He is supposed to be getting more reps at receiver this season after snaring just three passes last year. His fantasy status is iffy until he proves he can get it done on a regular basis.
July 3, 2008
With Joe Jurevicius undergoing yet another knee procedure, Josh Cribbs is getting more reps at wide receiver, but he has had trouble with dropping passes in offseason workouts, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:Cribbs is one of the best return men in the business, but he is not adept at catching passes, with just 14 receptions in his three-year career. If Jurevicius were out for an extended period of time, however, Cribbs would likely take on an increased role and he may have value in fantasy leagues.
June 10, 2008
Josh Cribbs saw a lot more practice time on Tuesday, as Donte Stallworth (death in family) and Joe Jurevicius (knee) were not on the field, but he failed to take advantage and prove his worth to the team, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He dropped two short passes over a three play span, and had issues securing the ball.

Our View:Cribbs only caught three passes for 37 yards in 2007, and isn't likely to make an impact as a fantasy receiver this season.
