Josh Cribbs is listed as probable for Week 17 despite his injured ankle, according to the Browns Official Website.

Our View:Cribbs will almost certainly see at least a few snaps under center this weekend, a welcome development for a team that has been short on success at quarterback the past few weeks.

Josh Cribbs injured his right ankle while running a passing route during today's practice, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View:He was able to return to practice with his ankle taped. Cribbs was expected to serve a bigger role in the offense Sunday against the Steelers because the Browns are down to Bruce Gradkowksi, their fourth quarterback.

Our View:The wide receiver is 0-for-2 on his passing attempts this season. The Browns are trying to find other options in case that third-stringer, and current starter, Joey Dorsey (concussion).

Our View:Cribbs has been used here and there behind center, but the former Kent State quarterback has yet to see more than a few looks.

NFL.com reports that return man Josh Cribbs (back) is active for Monday night's game against the Eagles.

Our View:Cribbs has scored two touchdowns on offense this season, but he could see more action in tonight's game. Coach Romeo Crennel has recently pressured the offensive coordinator in Cleveland to get Cribbs more involved.
