October 25, 2009 Matt Cassel struggled in Sunday's 37-7 loss to the Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium, as he only completed 10-of-25 passes for 97 yards, with one touchdown and three interceptions. Our View:Matt Gutierrez finished the game at quarterback, as it was out of reach. The Chiefs have a bye in Week 8, giving Cassel time to work out his issues. |

October 11, 2009 Matt Cassel completed 23-of-41 passes for 253 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 5 loss to the Cowboys. He also rushed four times for 28 yards. Our View:That's three straight games with two scores for Cassel, and he reached 250 yards for the first time this season. The passing attack isn't where Todd Haley wants it to be, but you can see that there is upside here. |

October 4, 2009 Matt Cassel completed 15-of-32 passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns against zero interceptions in the Week 4 road loss to the Giants. Our View:At least he had the common decency to throw for two scores, because his overall performance was pathetic. Cassel completed less than 50 percent of his pass attempts, and displayed a serious case of the butterfingers - fumbling three times - though none of them resulted in turnovers. |

September 27, 2009 Matt Cassel completed 14-of-18 passes for 90 yards with two touchdowns in Sunday's 34-14 loss at Philadelphia. Our View:Cassel failed to reach at least 100 passing yards, but at least fantasy owners received two touchdown passes from him. His numbers would have likely been better if stud receiver Dwayne Bowe was not out with a hamstring injury. He bounced back after throwing two interceptions in Week 2 against the rival Raiders. |

September 23, 2009 Matt Cassel was limited in Wednesday's practice, according to the Our View:Cassel is expected to start Sunday's game at Philadelphia. He threw two interceptions with a poor 66.3 rating in Week 2 against Oakland, but perhaps he was hindered by his ailing knee. |
