Matt Cassel failed to impress in today's 16-10 win at Oakland, as he completed 19-of-34 passes for 216 yards, with no touchdowns and an interception.

Our View:Cassel did not throw a touchdown pass in a game for the second time this season, and was a disappointment while coming off a solid performance at Jacksonville. He should remain an unstable option for fantasy owners.
November 8, 2009
Matt Cassel completed 23-of-39 passes for 262 yards and two touchdowns against zero interceptions in the Week 9 loss to Jacksonville.

Our View:Cassel has had a very uneven season in Kansas City, throwing two touchdown passes in four starts, and one or zero scores in three games. At best, he's a fantasy backup in 12-team leagues.
October 25, 2009
Matt Cassel struggled in Sunday's 37-7 loss to the Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium, as he only completed 10-of-25 passes for 97 yards, with one touchdown and three interceptions.

Our View:Matt Gutierrez finished the game at quarterback, as it was out of reach. The Chiefs have a bye in Week 8, giving Cassel time to work out his issues.
October 11, 2009
Matt Cassel completed 23-of-41 passes for 253 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 5 loss to the Cowboys. He also rushed four times for 28 yards.

Our View:That's three straight games with two scores for Cassel, and he reached 250 yards for the first time this season. The passing attack isn't where Todd Haley wants it to be, but you can see that there is upside here.
October 4, 2009
Matt Cassel completed 15-of-32 passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns against zero interceptions in the Week 4 road loss to the Giants.

Our View:At least he had the common decency to throw for two scores, because his overall performance was pathetic. Cassel completed less than 50 percent of his pass attempts, and displayed a serious case of the butterfingers - fumbling three times - though none of them resulted in turnovers.
