October 10, 2009 Nick Kaczur is expected to play on Sunday despite being limited in practice this week with an ankle injury, according to Scout.com. Kaczur should start at right tackle for the Patriots against the Broncos barring a setback. Our View:Kaczur is a tough offensive lineman, so no little ankle injury is goin to keep him out. This is good news for Tom Brady owners in particular, as quarterback usually suffer when the offensive line gets shuffled. |

August 24, 2009 Updating an earlier report, Nick Kaczur agreed to a four-year extension with the Patriots, according to the Boston Globe. He will earn $2MM in 2009, $2.7MM in 2010, $3.4MM in 2011 and $4.1MM in 2012. The deal also includes an option bonus of $3.5MM. Our View:Kaczur is not a great starter, but has been reliable at right tackle, namely as a run blocker. |

August 24, 2009 According to the Twitter page of Patriots' beat writer Mike Reiss, the team has agreed to a contract extension with Nick Kaczur. Details of the new deal have not been released by the team. Our View:Kaczur has earned the extension with his strong play on the field, and it was a good move to get him locked up. No word yet as to how many years the deal will add on, but expect him to be a Pat for a good amount of time. |

August 23, 2009 Nick Kaczur is believed to be nearing a new deal with the Patriots, according to the Boston Globe. Our View:Kaczur is in the final year of his contract with New England, and is slated to make $2.27MM this season. He is a pretty good starter, and is worthy of a new deal. |
