For once this season, Brandon Jacobs looked like the best runner in the Giants' backfield, gaining 76 yards with a score off 13 carries. He added 11 yards off two receptions.

Our View:Ahmad Bradshaw gained just 32 yards off 12 carries and also lost a costly fumble at the end of the game. Bradshaw isn't going anywhere, but Jacobs remains the safer fantasy play between the two and should continue to get the Giants' goal-line carries.

Updating an earlier report, Brandon Jacobs is probable to return to today's game at New Orleans after leaving with a stinger earlier in the second quarter, according to Mike Garafolo's (Star-Ledger) twitter page.

Our View:Even if Jacobs returns, expect Ahmad Bradshaw to get the bulk of the carries as a precaution.

Brandon Jacobs exited today's game at New Orleans after being shaken up in the second quarter. He may have suffered a stinger around his neck/shoulder region.

Our View:Jacobs in being attended to on the sideline by trainers, and his status is yet to be updated. Ahmad Bradshaw is acting as the starter in his absence.

Brandon Jacobs said on Monday that he expected to produce more in 2009 than he has so far, and that "frustration is very much upon me," according to the New York Daily News.

Our View:Jacobs is averaging just 3.6 yards per carry through 100 carries so far in 2009, while "back-up" Ahman Bradshaw is averaging 6.5 yards per carry on just 58. You still need to be patient with Jacobs, but it's evident that Bradshaw is an essential handcuff if you are an owner.
October 11, 2009
Brandon Jacobs has returned to the game against Oakland in the first quarter after missing two series with a burner.

Our View:Jacobs is back in the game but Ahmad Bradshaw, who has already compiled 116 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns, is stealing the show.
