Vincent Jackson was the AFC's most productive receiver in the Pro Bowl, catching seven passes for 122 yards and a touchdown.

Our View:Jackson's TD came on a 48-yard bomb from David Garrard in the third quarter and tied the game at 24. It makes you wonder what he would have been able to accomplish if Phillip Rivers had been on board.

Vincent Jackson has been charged with two misdemeanors for driving on a suspended license stemming from a traffic stop that occurred just a few hours before the Chargers' playoff game against the Jets on Jan. 17, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Our View:Jackson could face up to six months in jail and/or a fine of $1,000 in connection with two counts, and was also charged for driving with an expired registration, which is punishable by a fine. While jail time seems unlikely, the fact that Jackson still has a 2009 DUI case pending and has a 2006 conviction on a misdemeanor drunken-driving charge on his record could be grounds for him to receive a suspension to open the 2010 regular season.

Vincent Jackson has been selected as a replacement for Reggie Wayne in next week's Pro Bowl, according to NFL.com.

Our View:Jackson's selection is well deserved. He's shown steady improvement each of his five seasons in the NFL and has molded himself into a borderline top-10 receiver.

Vincent Jackson was pulled over by a San Diego police officer prior to the Chargers' playoff game against the Jets on Sunday, according to 10 News San Diego.

Our View:Jackson was cited for playing his music too loud and was driving with expired tags, and also had a suspended license. He was merely ticketed, but having a suspended license is a misdemeanor. It is uncertain if this will hurt the star receiver's chances of reeling in a lucrative new deal with the Chargers.

Vincent Jackson was a standout for the Chargers in tonight's 17-14 playoff loss to the Jets at Qualcomm Stadium, as he made seven catches for 111 yards.

Our View:While the star receiver looked good, the Chargers fell short in their bid to reach the AFC Championship - namely due to kicker Nate Kaeding's three missed field goal attempts. Jackson's performance should help in his bid to receive a lucrative new contract in the offseason.

Vincent Jackson, who has been battling an Achilles injury, is probable for Sunday against the Jets, according to Scout.com's Adam Caplan.

Our View:He will play. However, how effective he is will depend on how he handles New York's all-world defensive back Darrelle Revis. Perhaps if he gets shut down, he'll get a case of the Ochocincos and cop to playing hurt.

Vincent Jackson (Achilles) looked good in practice on Wednesday, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. "I'm feeling good this week," Jackson said. "I'm going to continue to work to being as close to 100 percent as possible on Sunday."

Our View:Before getting too excited about Jackson's potential this week, remember that he'll be blanketed by Darrelle Revis. Still, it's nice to know that he'll be near full health.
January 13, 2010
According to Kevin Acee on Twitter, Vincent Jackson participated in Wednesday's practice despite an Achilles injury.

Our View:Acee reported that Jackson "looked good" during workouts, so all signs point to him playing on Sunday against the Jets. The downside is he'll be covered by shutdown corner Darrelle Revis, so temper your offensive expectations for him.
January 12, 2010
Vincent Jackson has returned to practice for the Chargers after being held out of activities all of last week to rest a sore Achilles, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Our View:It doesn't seem like health will be an issue for Jackson on Sunday, though the fact that Darrelle Revis will be covering him could be. Revis has shutdown a number of top receivers this season, so downgrade your expectations for Jackson.
January 10, 2010
The New York Daily News reports that Jets shutdown corner Darrelle Revis is expected to cover Vincent Jackson in next week's divisional game.

Our View:This spells bad news for V-Jax, as Revis has stymied elite receivers all season. In the Wild Card game against the Bengals he held Ochocinco to just 28 yards, and will set his sights on a similar performance against Jackson next week. Looks for the Chargers to target Malcolm Floyd a little more often.

Vincent Jackson (Achilles) should be fine and practicing in full by next Wednesday, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Our View:His injury is believed to be very minor, and he is only being held out this week so he can get as healthy as possible before San Diego's Divisional round playoff game.
January 6, 2010
According to Kevin Acee on Twitter, Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson was not present at Wednesday's practice due to an Achilles injury.

Our View:The Chargers are likely being cautious with their top receiving threat, and there is no reason to rush him onto the practice field due to their first round bye. He should be fine when San Diego gets set for their first playoff game.

Week 17 inactives: QB Charlie Whitehurst (3rd), WR Vincent Jackson, WR Legedu Naanee, FB Jacob Hester, FS Eric Weddle, LB Shawne Merriman, DE Jacques Cesaire, and OC Eric Ghiacicu.

Our View:WR Malcom Floyd will be the No. 1 wideout with Jackson inactive due to an Achilles injury. Also, look for RB Mike Tolbert to handle a heavier workload and QB Billy Volek to see extended action, as the Chargers have already nailed down the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoffs.
January 2, 2010
Vincent Jackson would like to play in Sunday's game against the Redskins, according to ESPN.

Our View:The star receiver is questionable with an Achilles injury, and will be facing a good pass defense. Billy Volek could see significant action at quarterback as well, meaning Jackson would be a risky fantasy option if given the green light to play.
January 1, 2010
The San Diego Union Tribune reports that Vincent Jackson is unlikely to play this weekend. He is dealing with an Achilles injury.

Our View:Jackson will be available once the playoffs start, but the Chargers have nothing to win in this game. Expect them to rest all of their dinged up players.
