Roscoe Parrish, one of the top return men in the game, is not expected to play in Week 17 due to his injured knee, according to Sports Illustrated.

Our View:Parrish will be missed. He is a big part of the Bills' effective special teams unit.

Roscoe Parrish did not practice Thursday for the second straight day due to his ailing knee, according to ESPN.

Our View:Coach Dick Jauron did not speculate on his status for Week 17 against New England. Parrish holds little value as a receiver but would be missed as a dangerous return man on special teams.

According to The Buffalo News, Roscoe Parrish sat out Wednesday's practice with a sore knee.

Our View:Parrish also had a sore knee last week but was able to play on Sunday. Expect him to go in the team's season finale.

Wide receiver Roscoe Parrish has been working with the first-team offense in place of the injured Josh Reed (ankle), according to the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle. He said, "I don't know Josh Reed's status, but I'm always here. I always want a bigger role on offense. That's what I came in for, not to be a special teams player. I don't want to start a conflict, but I want to have more on offense and do what I do which is make plays and do whatever I can to help the team."

Our View:Parrish is a speed demon and knows the offense better than rookie James Hardy, which is why he is working with the starters. Parrish could rank as a sleeper this weekend against the Jets' 23rd ranked pass defense.

Roscoe Parrish (thumb) is almost certain to return to the Bills lineup after having the protective pad removed from his digit, according to the Bills Official Website. “Full go happened today and practice went real well,” said Parrish. "I’m on schedule for the game. I’ve got no pain and caught the ball well."

Our View:Parrish is one of the baddest men in the game at returning kicks, so good in fact that some view him as nearly the equal of Devin Hester. His value as a receiver is minimal however.
