Our View:Nugent will likely remain behind Jay Feely for starting kicker again in Week 12.

Kicker Mike Nugent (thigh) is out again in Week 10 against the Rams, even though he was able to practice this week. Jay Feely remains the starting kicker.

Our View:Feely has missed short field goals in consecutive weeks, so we're not sure why Eric Mangini isn't pushing Nugent back into the lineup.

Mike Nugent might return to action this weekend following a long bout with a thigh injury, according to Scout.com. Coach Eric Mangini said there is a possibility he can return this week, and Nugent was able to swing his injured leg full throttle on the sidelines without any issues today.

Our View:We will keep you posted on his status. His return would make Jay Feely expendable. The starter should have a productive day scoring points this weekend against St. Louis.

Our View:No injured kicker is worth hanging on to in fantasy leagues. If you simply must have a Jets kicker, then pick up Feely.

Kicker Mike Nugent came back in the third quarter to kick an extra point for the Jets. He also handled the subsequent kickoff despite an apparent thigh injury. The kickoff was a low bouncer.

Our View:Nugent clearly isn't 100 percent, but we hope this return means the team has ruled out serious damage.

Kicker Mike Nugent has a thigh injury, the CBS telecast confirms. He was seen warming up (and limping) on the sidelines in the second quarter, but the Jets elected to go for it on fourth down rather than try a 40-yard field goal. The Jets also went for a two-point conversion after scoring a touchdown.

Our View:Clearly the Jets are worried about Nugent's ailment, although it's not to a point where he has headed to the locker room. We'll continue to look for updates.

Kicker Mike Nugent missed a 32-yard field goal try during the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Dolphins. He limped off the field after apparently tweaking his left leg.

Our View:Nugent went off under his own power, which is a good sign. We'll update his status when more is known.

Mike Nugent aggravated coach Eric Mangini when he missed two field goal attempts on Saturday against Washington, according to the NY Post. He missed wide right on a 43-yard attempt, and hit the left upright on a shorter try from 23-yards. Mangini said, "Those field goals are pretty high-percentage field goals, in the 90 percent range league-wide. Those you have to make. It's a chip shot. The 43-yarder is a lot tougher, but when you're that close (23 yards), those have to be like gimmes."

Our View:Mangini is upset right now, but Nugent shouldn't be in jeoparady of losing his job. His fantasy value has improved since Brett Favre joined the team, as there should be more scoring chances with a more efficient and balanced offense.
