J.J. Arrington will undergo microfracture surgery on his injured knee, according to the Denver Post. The operation will attempt to create scar tissue that will perform like the cartilage that is no longer there.

Our View:He was going to be employed as the Broncos' third-down back, but the club decided to release him, likely due to concerns regarding his knee.

The Denver Post is reporting that the Broncos' have released J.J. Arrington on Wednesday after he failed his physical. Arrington had offseason knee surgery, and he did not participate in any offseason activities with the Broncos.

Our View:The Broncos signed Arrington to compete for the job at running back, but he was expendable after they also signed two others and drafted Knowshon Moreno with their first pick. Arrington is expected to be available for this season, so he should catch on somewhere else.

J.J. Arrington did not practice Sunday, according to the Denver Post. He is nursing a knee ailment.

Our View:When healthy, Arrington will compete for the third-down role at running back. He could also see time on special teams as a return man. As a fantasy running back, his value will remain limited.

Running back J.J. Arrington has officially signed a four-year, $10 million deal with the Broncos, according to the Denver Post.

Our View:The two signs had mostly agreed to this deal on last Friday, but Arrington held out for more guaranteed money. The Broncos now feature Arrington, Lamont Jordan, Correll Buckhalter, Selvin Young, Peyton Hillis, and Ryan Torain competing for carries at tailback. It looks like more fantasy hell in Denver at the position.
