January 27, 2010 The Bengals are expected to talk to Cedric Benson regarding a contract extension, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Our View:Benson has one year remaining on his current contract with Cincinnati. He only played in 13 games in 2009 due to injuries, but still had a strong campaign with 1,251 rushing yards on 301 attempts. He held a career-high 4.2 yards per carry average. |

January 9, 2010 Cedric Benson ran hard for the Bengals in today's 24-14 loss to the Jets at Paul Brown Stadium, as he bruised his way to a game-high 169 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. He also caught three passes for 12 receiving yards. Our View:Benson could not lead the Bengals to a win, but set a new franchise record in rushing yards for a playoff game. He also scored the first postseason touchdown of his career. |
