According to the Twitter page of Ravens' insider Aaron Wilson, the team has cut quarterback Cleo Lemon. Lemon was signed on August 16 to provide depth after the injury to John Beck.

Our View:Beck is still hurt, but apparently the team feels confident that he will be fine at some point this season. If something happens to Joe Flacco, Troy Smith will be next in line to take over.

The Baltimore Ravens have officially signed quarterback Cleo Lemon to a one-year deal, according to NFL.com. Lemon was at practice with the team on Sunday.

Our View:With John Beck being out for the season, the Ravens needed someone who can serve as the third quarterback. Lemon will likely be behind Joe Flacco and Troy Smith on the depth chart, and he won't have much chance to move past either one.

Updating an earlier report, Cleo Lemon is nearing a deal with the Ravens, according to Armando Salguero's twitter page. The deal is pending a physical.

Our View:The Ravens need to add depth at quarterback with John Beck done for the 2009 season due to a broken collarbone. Lemon would likely serve as the No. 3 quarterback behind Joe Flacco and Troy Smith, meaning he should be ignored in fantasy leagues.

The Ravnes worked out free agent quarterback Cleo Lemon on Saturday, according to Pro Football Talk.

Our View:It's hard to believe Lemon isn't good enough to be a third-stringer somewhere. He should get signed some time in the next week.

Cleo Lemon is still talking with several teams about signing, according to NFL.com.

Our View:Buffalo, Chicago and New Orleans are all places where he could catch on. Stay tuned.

The Patriots are expected to sign quarterback Cleo Lemon on Saturday, ESPN.com reports.

Our View:No, "Cleo Lemon" is not Michael Vick's new alias. Can we stop talking about the Pats-Vick rumors now? Lemon will have a tough time beating out Kevin O'Connell and Matt Gutierrez.

According to the Florida Times Union, the Jaguars have released second-string quarterback Cleo Lemon.

Our View:Lemon struggled in drills this offseason, and even though he was signed to a three-year deal last season the Jags felt he wasn't good enough to keep around. Last season he appeared in one game and threw just two passes. Todd Bouman will now take over the duties as the number-two QB behind David Garrard.
