January 2, 2009 Derrick Mason is questionable for this weekend's playoff battle at Miami due to his shoulder injury, according to Our View:He was limited Thursday and did not practice Friday. Mason is a tough pro and should find his way onto the field. He led the Ravens with 80 receptions and 1,037 yards this season. |

January 1, 2009 Derrick Mason (shoulder) returned to practice on Thursday though in merely a limited manner, according to the Our View:Mason will play this weekend barring an unforeseen setback of some king before game time. He is still the top option in the club's passing attack and should be viewed as such even if he is once again limited on Friday. |

December 28, 2008 Derrick Mason had six receptions for 77 yards in Week 17. Our View:Mason finishes the season with 80 receptions for 1,037 yards and five touchdowns. His year was especially impressive considering that he had a rookie quarterback throwing to him and a bad shoulder for a large portion of the season. |

December 26, 2008 The Baltimore Sun reports that Derrick Mason (muscle spasms) did not appear to be at practice on Friday. He has yet to practice this week. Our View:Mason is leading the Ravens in receptions once again with 74. He is also 40 yards from reaching 1,000 on the season. Look for him to give it a shot if they have yet to clinch a playoff spot by the 3:15 (ET) start of the game. The club will be monitoring the noon battle between the Patriots and Bills. |
