Derrick Ward exited the game against New England at Wembley Stadium in the first quarter with a left hand injury, according to Albert Breer's twitter page.

Our View:Ward, who has seven carries in the last two weeks, has been nursing a knee injury, and playing second fiddle to Cadillac Williams in the Bucs backfield. There is no additional information currently available on the severity of the ailment.

NFLblogs.com reports that Derrick Ward's knee held up for a full week of practice and he is listed as probable for Week 5 against the Eagles.

Our View:He will be behind Cadillac Williams, who gets the start, but neither running back will be a great play this week against a tough Philly defense. With Josh Johnson at QB, the Bucs will have a hard time mustering any offense.

Derrick Ward will be inactive for today's game at Washington, according to the Tampa Tribune on twitter.

Our View:Ward has been ruled out due to a sore knee. Cadillac Williams will start at running back in his absence.

According to Rick Stroud on Twitter, Derrick Ward (knee) traveled with the team to Washington for Sunday's game against the Redskins and will be a game-time decision.

Our View:The fact that Ward traveled with the team clearly helps his chances of playing on Sunday, but he's still be behind Cadillac Williams on the depth chart and isn't a recommended start for Week 4.

PewterReport.com is reporting that Bucs' running back Derrick Ward is unlikely to play Sunday against the Redskins. Ward has not practiced this week due to his knee injury.

Our View:Ward is one of the few offensive weapons the Bucs have, so this hurts. With new starter Josh Johnson taking the snaps, the Bucs could have really used Ward in the backfield to help out the run game. Cadillac Williams and Earnest Graham will get the carries for the team.
