Jets' beat writer Rod Boone is reporting that wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery is expected to play this weekend. Cotchery has missed the last two weeks with a hamstring injury.

Our View:Cotchery returned to practice yesterday, and the team expects him to be fine for this week's contest. brad Smith is also expected back this week, so the jets will be getting a nice boost to their receiving corps.

Jerricho Cotchery practiced Wednesday, according to the Star-Ledger. He missed the last two weeks with a hamstring injury.

Our View:Cotchery was limited today, but reportedly looked sharp in drills. Head coach Rex Ryan is optimistic that Cotchery will be ready to return to the gridiron Sunday against Miami.

Jets inactives: DB James Ihedigbo, G Matt Slauson, LB Marques Murrell, WR Jerricho Cotchery, Erik Ainge (3rd QB), QB Kevin O'Connell, WR Brad Smith, CB Lito Sheppard.

Our View:David Clowney will start at receiver in place of Cotchery (hamstring) with a favorable matchup at Oakland. Sheppard will be missed in their secondary, which could benefit struggling quarterback JaMarcus Russell.

Still slowed by a hamstring injury, Jerricho Cotchery will sit out for the second straight game this Sunday, according to the Newark Star-Ledger.

Our View:Fellow receiver Brad Smith will also be out when the Jets take on the Raiders. After the way Oakland dismantled the Eagles' vaunted passing attack last Sunday, this cannot be good for Mark Sanchez and the Jets' passing game.
